I'm 21 and suffer from severe crohns disease. I have to take this shot in the tummy once a week. But the shot is terrifying. I take Xanax wi th it calm anxiety but even that alone doesn't help enough. I created this routine. Involves a hot bubbly bath, candles, this song playing, and th e needle. I take the Xanax and sit I the tub playing this song on repeat and right when he says "the only control we have is over ourselves" I push the needle in. It hurts but I always smile after because I realize i have that control by getting over the anxiety of the shot. Th is disease will not control me.
