- Former Nigerian President Obasanjo said the Western democratic system of government has failed in Nigeria. He argued that the system only recognised the views of a few members of society, who serve as representatives of the people, rather than the entire population.
Obasanjo advocated for “Afro Democracy,” saying Western Liberal Democracy has to be modified to suit the peculiarities of the African people

Don't think so even though he is not among the recycled leaders (Tinubu, Atiku and Obi) Nigerians are dying for. Nigerians need to study people they want as their leader. It is very true that democracy is not for us and can not take us anywhere in Africa. Look at the countries currently developing super fast, they are all non-democratic. China, UAE, Saudi, Qatar, these countries have 2 things in common Visionary leadership and Extensive tenures to rule and bring the needed change.
In Nigeria, after every 4 years we spend billions to elect people that will distabilization and change nothing.

Yet, the price of fuel in the country remains high and sometimes shortages of fuel in many filling stations in the country.

However, the current governor of Edo State has utilized the money disbursed to the state judiciously for infrastructure development more than his predecessors.
