I was 10x more invested in The Boys than Marvel or DC even though I crazily love Marvel!!! These guys have created a classic world consisting heroes with such humanly flaws and humans with such heroic qualities.
I love how The Boys is kind of like Watchmen but instead of destroying comics they embrace the comics, joke about it, make it realistic and just generally still make it fun enough for anyone to watch and still enjoy enough without feeling depressed

The Boys made me question my feelings for comic superheros. With my synical view of human behavior, I have come to believe that this is really how people behave outside of religion.
As an actor, be stupid NOT to pick marvel for the check, just business. Not to mention Endgame just came out during this interview. Doubt theyd have the same answers today though. Either way major L on the cast. Hope they get karma for that. Left a sour taste on how they crumble to that answer but ngl still best show out there.
Too unrealistic/idealistic for todays world. Nothing is white and black anymore, its just all grey. People with positive features can have negative sides, people with negative features can have positive sides. People can polarise their viewpoints and qualities trough their lives and so on. The deeper we go into 2020, the less interesting DC universe seems, at-least to me. Marvel Movies did really good with Thanos. He was not just a bad bad guy, with bad bad plans. He had character, his perspective and how relentless he was going to his target for his version of greater good. I am not that versed in DC, but their bad guys are usually just bad/evil to the core without any particular reason, just to be bad to the point of being boring viewing trough 2020 lense.
