in low elo maybe if you making the kills happen you take them if you a champ that can carry a win but higher elo you do that people see your name and dodge cos they know you a hungry bish

I feel like the new mobis might also be a good option for games where your team has more CC or you roam more since new swifties help in keeping up with moving enemies once you engage on them, new mobis have more overall utility in the support role
also the correct response to the Qiyana who yelled in chat "U KDA PLAYER" is "I'd be happy to give your lane opponent a 1k shutdown if you like"

Seems like sometimes can be hard to actually do the 3 autoattacks.
Maybe the thunder rune (electrocute) can be good also.
You can even pop the thunder with shield thrown + dash + 1 autoattack and save Q if you dont need it
I was pretty much one tricking poppy 5-6 seasons ago, top and since I was better at that champ than any other, I would play her support from time to time and it was actually pretty good, even back then. The hard part was mostly close to tower, where it was hard to have an impact, so if the enemy was kind of holding the wave in front of their tower I was kind of useless, but the W helps, the E obviously helps, the Q deals damage even without much items and the R is great peel.

As a main support since Season 2 (though in mid-elo) I'd like to say that it's very apparent to see how much game-knowledge enables these champions for you.
Also I'm utterly jealous about your teammates actually doing early teamfights right - in and out, in and out. Not everything has to be all-in all of the time.

I think why Poppy is so effective is just that Riot has done a lot of mobility creep with every other champion having a dash and Poppy is designed to counter that.

My favorite item on poppy is always going to be iceborn gauntlet. Getting a ranged auto that skows as you chase someone down with w is too good.
This used to be how I played poppy season 1, except I built full ADC with Trinity. Old poppy was a hypercarry who couldn't lane toy save her life.

You know something I discovered today, by accident? Others may already know this. I play Sej tank or bruiser top or jungle but I rush first item Hollow Radiance and max w.
Why it's so fun is because it has insane wave clear, makes her beefy AND (cherry on top) you can fight an enemy in an enemy creep wave and obliterate them from Radiance's passive. Its so much burst damage from one item and one spell!

If you want to know, vs AD its armor first, vs AP its health early game than mid to late its magic resist.
If you're fitting a support item [edit: I meant Lethality item, brain fart] into the build, would Umbral be a good pick? Since it helps you with the ward disabling and clearing (unless it doesn't do that anymore)
It does still do that, but it's hardly a "support" item, it's more like an assassin item with a supportive passive

As someone who is a OT poppy for the past 5 years now, I feel very conflicted about her new found popularity.
Poppy's E wont follow flash so you are safe you just wont stun thats all. Vs Thresh you can stop second q and lantern so have that in mind on your crazy gameplays :)

not good for leona, as physical/lethality have more damage to Poppy compared to Leona's magic cc kit
