I think that in general the other female dragons were ugly. I love her design. Why is no one talking about toothless? He’s pretty much the same but black and green eyes. My main issue with her design is that the directors said she wasn’t “feminine enough” even though they have really nice designs for the female dragons such as the Gronkles, Nadders etc. she could have had a much more interesting design and personality, but they settled for just “love interest”.

Instead of an actual movie they could’ve made it a series. Giving them more time to flesh out her character, show why her design is like that. Ok, I did want a female night fury and when I first saw her I was disappointed, but after watching the movie I realized how beautiful and adorable she is. And I now realize I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I love the way she moves and her cat-like features because it’s what made Toothless so loveable in the first movie. Would have much preferred good old T than a dopey rectangle.
Personally, for me, I think that she’s perfect that the personality for her was not only a gentle giant. They made her have a little more detail, and I just noticed the glitter

What's more, a lot of people believe that she was responsible for Hiccup and Toothless breaking up. But, someday this too would happen. Light Fury just became more motivation. What the fandom fails to realize is that Toothless was the LAST of his kind
And adding the Light Fury does not fix that.

Yea but he wasn't officially the last of his kind until the 3rd movie, and they could of easily added another female night fury as her and Toothless being the last 2 alive. Grimmel thought he killed every last night fury, but didn't, since toothless was still alive.

I can't believe people would hate on her because it's not even her fault , she was forced by grimmel
the only reason im not really fond of her is because, you know, being a kid who loved dragons, i really liked how fierce and unique they all looked. the lightfury can be aggressive and deadly in her movements, but theres none of that inherent fierceness on her smooth, rounded and almost scaleless body. like just bc shes the protagonist's love interest and female doesnt mean she has to look like a doll next to almost every other httyd species :(
also her treatment of ya boi hiccup was uncalled for and struck me as petty. like after toothless dove to save hiccup after she swatted him off, she'd get the hint, but nah. like girl what? anyways thats all my opinion and i dont hate her i just feel like she could have been SO much better. it would have been so awesome if she helped take down grimmel by ambushing him with reflective scales instead of being shown as fierce the whole time and still ending up as "damsel in distress" 🧍♂️

I don't agree with the people who say she isn't nice or she is awful, i believe that she is great and not that feminine, these are the characteristics of her species. What's more, a lot of people believe that she was responsible for Hiccup and Toothless breaking up. But, someday this too would happen. Light Fury just became more motivation.
