watching this makes me sad, man oh man do I miss this. we need to be at this point again. I know we can.
After all the years, getting closer
we’re here 😈
We’re here. Let’s go
As a Sabres fan y’all got a decent shot this year if you guys can get past the Avs in the conference finals
Dw bro we almost there
“It’s just fun to play hockey right now”
Been 11 long years since we had this much fun.
so sad they never won, look at the team today :(
@@MS-lw4fwthe team is great today fym?
5 years later I still wonder what if we won😭💚💙 I still haven't got over it and tbh lol I don't think I ever will.
Tiffany Cai You would probably riot like Montreal
Tiffany Cai 9 years later and i haven’t gotten over it
11' yrs now... after 94' too.... just really hurts.
We're going to evantually win it, especially now that we're playing fantastically again
Trust me, when it does finally happen, it's going to go down as the greatest Stanley Cup win in history ✨
Whos back because of Bieksas Retirement??.... God i miss this season....
Take us back to the finals! Let us relive the amazing Canucks playoff experience!
The canucks will win the cup one day. It will be when im alive
I miss this team
I'm a very proud Canuck fan, lifelong Canuck fan. Win or lose in the Finals, I'm proud of what they did this year...
I was in grade 10 at the time my friends and I were in downtown Vancouver for all the home games it was awesome. Up 2-0 in the finals too.. And then the riot happened.. This was our year man.. idk if we’ll ever get that close again
Brian Burke has offered a first round draft pick for that stanchion.
this makes me cry everytime i watch it just seeing how the team played n they wirked really hard
we need this team back but ik we can do it n bring the cup home for 2015 n be the champs
watching this and Burrow's OT winners still send chills down my spine to this day =D
lol
I love how happy they all are here, their dreams so close. I cannot wait for April 11th! Even if we don't win the cup I'm so proud of our team.
This was one of the best moments for not only vancouver but also for all of canada
a year ago right now i was down celebrating this goal on granville street. the feeling in the city was electric. it still had that innocent, olympic-esque feel.. everyone celebrating together on granville, high-fiving eachother, high-fiving cops, just having a great time. It's really too bad that it had to end the way it did. Both on the ice & in the city. Not sure if we'll ever get that feeling in the city back.
MY Favourite line " THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS ARE GOING TO THE STANLEY CUP FINAL"
Still get goosebumps watching this
I wish we won :'( the cup
TAKE ME BACK
I remember watching this and thinking, "There's no way that's a legal goal. How are they ever going to fix this mess?" Couldn't have been more wrong. What a heads up play by Bieksa. Such a great run by the Canucks through the Western Conference playoffs that year.
+Eric Munter There was a 2-2.5 year period there where Vancouver was ridiculously good
I shiver every time I watch this. We got so far and we NEED to win this cup ! BRING IT HOME NUCKS !
I miss that year
Kings fan here, rooting for the Canucks. Not just because you beat the Sharks, but because the Cup really deserves to be in Canada more often.
13 years later, I'm really sorry we couldn't win :(
However it's ironic looking at this comment knowing you guys would win the cup yourself the following year XD
I was in grade in 8 when we got to the finals.
So close
Same..... :(
So many awesome memories
theregie604 Same With my knights
I just have to ask lol, what are you doing nowadays?
i remember being at VGH when this happened ..i had food poisioning from left over turkey dinner...i was stumbling around and puking all over the walls at the hospital and no one noticed cuz of the game.....i was on the ground when the scored with one hand in the air .....screaming YAHHHHHH!!!
Nhoj Ogn That is Legendary.
i was stoned hot boxing my car outside of the sedins daughter school...and i noticed him coming outside with his kid and teacher...i got so excited...and speed up into the ally..lucky there was a speed bump..or i might have hit him and end his career..which .might have made his othjer bro stop playing too...than i would have been known as the guy who crippled the sedin ...thank god i didnt hit him.cuz if i did i would have drove off ...such a shame cuz im a huge fan..go canucks go..so anywhoo....i drove up next to him..and rolled my window down..and a huge cloud of smoke came out..cuz i was hot boxing my ride..before i saw him...he rised his arm to cover the smell...i sad WADDUP and started rambling..he just stared at me..in confusin...so i got scared and drove off...yelling ..PEACE OUT HOMIE
Nhoj Ogn If that's true, that's pretty fucking funny
his kids school is on oak and king edward street
+Nhoj Ogn pretty funny but why were you hotboxing outside a school?
I love hockey the ecxitement of watching the team that you loved since you're 4. The sheer pace of the game. And the crowd coming to life after a goal. Hockey is the best sport in the world.
2021 and i’m still pissed we didn’t win it all that year
This gives me chills everytime I watch it.
All this for nothing...When will my Canucks finnaly hoist Lord Stanleys Cup?
Cruz Medina Same for my Blues and Flyers. (even tho they did win it in ~1975)
Cruz Medina I'd say 4 or 5 more years if your management knows what they are doing. If they don't? 6 or 7. Maybe more.
+Cruz Medina Never! HAHA!
+Carey Price? Doesn't have a ring to it oh found you again BANDWAGONER!!
+Cruz Medina my Sharks are asking that same question about themselves
This still sends chill down my spine!
Who else here after bieksa retired? 🫡
I smile everytime I watch this. I was at that game, and the feeling was electric. Amazing.
0:41 "How are we gonna explain this to Bettman?!"
Words can not describe how much I love this video, or how long I've waited to see it.
Some people move on....
But not us......
Not us.....
I remember staying awake all night in the uk watching this man i miss those days we cant ger nhl over here anymore best of luck for this season vancouver this one is yours LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU :D
Boston did not deserve the cup. (I'm from Boston)
alexander fernandez They kicked Vancouver's asses (I'm from Vancouver)
Your werent paying attention. No offense vancouver but boston was overall better in that series
alexander fernandez thank the refs too many men my ass and can you say diving or slashing
+noahisjerry80 there's a few reasons Vancouver lost: 1) they got outplayed and outscored by the Bruins, 2) the refs helped by making some bogus calls and 3) before game 7 that bastard Cherry jinxed it.
Victoria Royals Fan or maybe the fact that the bruins scored 23 goals in that series and Vancouver scored 8. And maybe the cheapshot on nathan horton unleashed the beast, thats the real facts.
With all their hard work throughout the season the Canucks deserved a fluke goal in a critical game.
Congrats Canucks.
Oh the good old days.
i truly looooveee the fans reaction, the canucks reaction and no to mention... THE PRICELESS LOOK ON THE SHARKS FACE!!! hahahahha
GO CANUCKS GOOO!!!!!!!
you the man Bobby Lu.
"and the Vancouver Canucks, are going, to the STANLEY CUP FINAL!" I get the chills every time I hear that.
everything was going great until...the cup finals D:
I'll never forget being there that night. Epic.
Anyone watching in 2019
54 saves by Luongo, that is all. This man kept this team afloat for the whole game.
what a strange game winner..Pavelski thought it went out lol
Incredibly unique goal for the moment
oh wow I watched it a few times and still missed exactly what happened. I thought it somehow bounced up into the air, the goalie lost sight of it, and it floated over his head and in. It deflected back to an alert Bieksa who fired it home while every other player on the ice thought the puck was somewhere else
As a Hawk fan I was rooting against the Nucks all throughout the playoffs. They did beat my Hawks fair and Square though in a very exciting series. Looking back on it, as much as people hated Vancouver, they did have some great teams.
+TommyCage0736 Why were you even giving these clowns credit? They suck. Always have, always will.
Because thats what real hockey fans do. I'm not some bandwagon arrogant dipstick like 80 percent of the so called "fans" that fill the UC. I actually watched hockey and played prior to the Hawks getting good
TommyCage0736 So? I watch hockey every chance I get, but don't compliment dirty, shit teams. Even as a Canadian I'm smart enough to know that all Canadian teams are trash, and have been for years. Only time I cheered for one was when Edmonton was in the finals, because I wanted to see Roloson and Pronger win a Stanley Cup. Real hockey fans can appreciate good hockey... which you obviously don't by complimenting the Canucks.
lol good for you. I'm well aware Vancouver was a dirty team then, but they still beat us fair and square. Quit being bitchy and enjoy the game instead of being hockey fan police.
TommyCage0736 I never said they didn't beat Chicago fair and square. They did and I knew they would win deep down because they were the confident first seed facing against a solid defending-Cup champion team, but one that stumbled into the playoffs while working without a few great lost players over the offseason. I'm actually surprised they didn't beat us in five or six games, and I'll always be amazed at how good Toews played in the final game, but still... never compliment bad teams, especially not Canadian ones. Look at their 2011 roster and three terrible things comes to mind. Lapierre, Burrows and Luongo. Why would anyone compliment them at any time whatsoever?
I remember watching this when it happened and being worried I woke my dad who had to get up for work in a couple hours. To this day, I’ll never forget Bieksa motioning everyone “ON YOUR FEET!!!”
Still gives me goosebumps
So many great memories.... amazing
despite the collapse vs the bruins, this was still a remarkable, exciting, breathtaking playoff run. and we'll do it again
One hell of a magical run.
ye
Thank you so much for posting these videos!
i live in eastern canada and i stayed up until 2 in the morning watching this i just couldn't turn off the tv and im so glad i didn't! go canucks go! 4 more wins!
I watched this so many times already. So amazing!
This run is not only for the city of vancouver but also for Luc Bourdon, Lost But Never Forgotten
Luc could have been there to celebrate with them... I know that even though he wasn't there physically, he was there spiritually and emotionally... He was also probably jumping and hugging them when the whole team was together! We love you Luc Bourdon and we also love the Vancouver Canucks FOREVER!!! GO CANUCKS GO FTW!!
@djabajian I think scoring with 14 seconds left to tie the game was a miracle, I think luongo making those great saves on the 5v3 and the overtime periods were a miracle, I think the odd bounce off the partition right to bieksa was a miracle. Kesler getting hurt and then coming back to score and tie the game was a miracle. This is the stuff that goes down as vancouver folklore. No matter how the finals end, this will be legendary. If we win, kesler is immortalized for life in Van for this
It took a lot to top the awesomeness that was the game 7 win in Chicago. I'd say this beauty takes the cake!
BIEKSA FOR THE WIN!!!! Great series. FOUR MORE WINS!! Let's do this Canucks!
@MrNordlee kudos to you my fellow Canadian. and I agree. the team Canada thing was something for Canada as a whole, but the Canucks going to the Stanley Cup Finals is something you and all the Vancouver Canucks fans should be proud of and in-static for. Good Luck!
We had an amazing playoff run
What a SHOT! He was the only one paying attention. And we WON man!!!!!!!
Looking back on this playoff run makes me so sad. Canucks were insane back then
The one year anniversary of celebrating yet not knowing how that puck went in until I saw the replay.
This moment will never get old for me.
i get chills watching this
I was at Downtown Vancouver, in the crowds watching the game, while this happened. Wildest shit I've seen in the city
Thanks to the Canucks for really making a difference in town
im from the east coast i honestly thought this game would never end! i almost fell asleep but i saw the goals
9 years later the canucks are in the playoffs 2020 this is OUR LAST CHANCE
Yeah, it was nuts. The goal was clean but the camera was not aimed at Bieksa, so the announcers had no idea it had stayed in the whole time, and Bieksa found the puck and Niemi saw it at the last second and tried to lower his pad, but it was too confusing and too fast for him to react successfully. That's my analysis for you.
Watching this in 2020 gives me chills
2022 :(
gives me shivers everytime
Love how Burns is standing there like 'WTF just happened?' :) Go Canucks Go!!
Yess thanks for uploading!! I've been waiting! GO NUCKS GO!
and history repeated itself last night :)
2012 will be OUR year!
8 years ago today and I miss it every day.
As a newly converted Canucks fan, this once brought me hatred to the Canucks, but now, it brings me shivers.
Canucks 2012!!
Chills everytime!!
Well worth the 2 hours it took to upload. ;)
That was a wicked shot!! Bieska was the ONLY one who was paying attention!!! That was a wicked pass! And an EXCELLENT shot!! We had very little time left!!! GO CANUCKS GO!!!!
If the boys can pull a St. Louis and win this year, it’ll be a insane moment in Canucks history!
It was a set play. Edler knew exactly what he was doing when he went off the glass, off the extension, and right on the ice where Bieksa is waiting for the puck!!!
Ten years later and I still remember watching this live and thinking WTF just happened
SOOO Happy that Vancouver is going to the Stanley Cup!!!! This is their year!
Even though we lost the cup, i think we will all look back at this stanley cup run with fond memories.
o ye of little faith in 94 they went 7 in 2011 the same and in 82 at least got there. WE WILL RETURN
I was comfortably numb after that goal, GO CANUCKS GO
go nucks i cant believe we are going to the final last night was insane
:D Great Job Kevin:D I grew Up With Him I Remember Playing Street Hockey With Him OHHH MAN Those Old Days :D
Im a sharks fan and i congratulate the Canucks. They may dive a lot, but they are a great team. Good luck and hope you win Lord Stanley?
I love Kevin's celebration!
I was watching this, never got to fully cheer as I was confused on how the hell it went in lol. Awesome. GCG!
The nuttiest OT winner I've seen, but we'll take it!
Very great series for the Canucks and glad that team goes to the Stanley Cup finals, im kinda dissapointed it's wasn't a 7 game series, but oh well...better luck next year Sharks, great series they got too.
woooooooooooooot proud to be from Vancouver/Coquitlam !
Bieksa takes the puck for Burrows in Rd.1, Gm 7.
Burrows takes the puck for Bieksa in Rd. 3, Gm. 5.
History will be made.
Quite simply, the Canucks could not withstand the pressure that Boston brought. I'd go so far to say that the 2010-2011 Bruins were a team of destiny. I would have loved to see a final this year of LA vs Bos.
Happy Birthday Kevin Bieksa!
@CodPk hey.do you know where to buy a canucks tshirt? the ones that says Canucks Hockey.the new one that came out yesterday..check the nhl website
come on Canucks keep that kind of spirit you can do it!
