I assume you're talking about movement like tap strafing and the configs that were on controller. It's because the game is having an identity crisis that it doesn't have the time to reflect on itself on what it wants to be and the only thing keeping this game alive is the culture that the community has made when it comes to movement. However do to growing tensions between the aim assist for controllers from uninformed RUclipsrs spouting slander usually from raging in games. Similarly configs was also the bane of movement and do to mokeysnipers vouching, I'm sure that played a part of removing any form of movement from controller simply under the guise of configurations happening on controller, still not clarifying whether or not they want to give controller the priveleges that mnk nor explaining the changes that will come to aim assist going forward
personally I do want to see the movement go forward with controller and removing it for the mnk would end most skill expression in the game and make it a rock paper scissors game.
