    You’re a lifesaver mate! I’ve been struggling with cleaning my son’s KR brake system for the longest. Best Karting content hands down.

    Great vid😀 so glad I found your channel, its been a real help to me as a new “kart dad”. A real help to me would be a vid on “trackside maintenance” that often needs to take care place in between rounds, e.g. what should be on my checklist at the end of practice rounds before races: e.g carb cleaning how & how often, checking/adjusting ride heights and widths etc etc..

    i usually like to use the wooden handle of a wire brush for your caliper pistons. one trick is also to use the hydraulic system before you pull it to pieces to pop your pistons on the bench. I'm not a fan of rubber grease, just lubricate with brake fluid. keep up the good content

    looking at the boot in the resevouir when you took the cap off, that needed a fair amount of more fluid put in. like the birel system as the pads wear the fluid goes down and sucks the boot in as well indicating that you need some more fuid. good time to check how much meat you have on the pads as well. good pactice we found is when your back from the track take the front boot off and squirt some brake cleaner etc up there to displace dirt and moisture. if this doesnt work for your customer after everything is fixed, get them to try the rear calliper from the KZ chassis, for the bigger person in statue seems to work better for them.

    This is great! What are you using or recommend for the parts washing? Same for other parts?

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah can use brake cleaner. But wash things out with soapy water and then Methylated Spritz 😊

    Did you already did a dyno run on a 2024 Rotax cylinder? And did it compare it to a 2023?

    This rubber boot needs some improvement from KR! It’s a failed design in my opinion
