Construction worker safety is a priority when operating cranes. But wind conditions play a huge role in how safe it is to use one of these vehicles. That's why it's important to monitor wind speed on sites.
Wolffkran Lokus rents out crane vehicles to construction sites across Czechia. Together, we were able to establish an Internet of Things solution, using an NB-IoT sensor that detects wind speeds and can be monitored remotely via GPS.
Real-time updates provide construction workers with wind speed data, allowing them to know if it's safe to operate their cranes. The data is also stored for the future, allowing them to track trends and report back on issues on site due to wind to clients.
