I'm on the fence! I love the thought of driving around town each day and using NO GAS. I'd only be using gas on longer trips. The problem is, i take a lot of longer trips, and my GLE300d (diesel) has the same 2.0 4 cylinder engine, but using diesel and my 24.4 gal tank, I get nearly 700 miles on a highway trip! I can actually travel from Idaho to California and AVOID buying high priced diesel in California, filling up in Nevada with prices similar to Idaho
Thank you! The only mode that will charge your battery while driving is Sport mode when the vehicle is using only fuel. The "Battery hold" will use the power to assist in the drive but the charge level will not increase, just be maintained.

ITs hard to compare the range on diesel to regular petrol! Maybe clients have the same decision haha.
Nice review. Does the GLE 450e have a "charge" option, like the Volvo XC90 hybrid has that the battery can be charged by the engine while driving?
