Just want to say, that I really appreciated the start, where you say you choose a new approach: one of thankfulness for what you have and for your strength to keep it nice. For that's what many don't have, I amongst them. I can't clean much anymore and when I do, I pay a heavy price in feeling extra ill. Chronic Lyme Disease is a debilitating disease, that doesn't kill you (usually), it just takes your life. Today I took a shower. That usually breaks my day and so it did.
I had wanted to do just a little bit of light gardening, which is so necessary. But of course I couldn't. "I can't get out" said the starling, "I can't get out". (From a book by Laurence Stern, appropriately used in a scene of the movie Mansfield Park, after the book by Jane Austen.)

I love all of your ideas that came together beautifully.
The candleabras painted white in chalk paint, with beige candles are stunning. Great idea. The draws with pine cones. The arranged dried flowers. I loved that you rescued the wooden box, stapled chicken mesh to it, finished it off with jute, and used it is a place to arrange flowers. Genius. Nothing goes to waste. The twisted willow looks stunning with lights, and some vine popped into your hanging lights. I could go on and on.

I moved to Germany in 2019 by mistake.
I only came over for 3 months to help a friend, and met my partner. I came to Germany during summer with my suitcase.
I literally had to start from zero.
Mostly everything I have sourced are from second hand shops, village flea markets, flea markets, and things people have given away for free. Nothing goes to waste.
Once a year one can put furniture and house goods one doesn't want outside. A big truck comes and collects it all and crushes it. 😢
I walk around my village and rescue what I can.
I found a square wooden garden table, like those slatted cafe tables. The poor thing was in a state. I carried it home in the rain under my arm, holding a few broken pieces.
Slowly I restored it. I just bought a few pieces of wood from the hardware store.
I replaced, glued and screwed in wood in a few places. Then I put wood filler in where it needed it. Sanded it. And painted it in white chalk paint. It has a new life now. I'm so glad it didn't go to the landfil.
I have lots of those stories. 😂 I drive my partner nuts. But, I am creative, love interior decorating, and see potential in almost everything. Even if some people don't have alot of financial resources, one can find things in nature, or in charity shops.
Oh yes, and your pompom faux flowers look beautiful. What a great idea. 👏

I'm from Poland and I live in the countryside in a small village. I also go out to the forest for dry treasures😂 to decorate the house😊. ps. In my country we call it a veranda - a terrace under a roof.

Had to jump back on and say your use of the dried hydrangeas, the wood boxes and vessels, pinecones and your faux cement techniques on lamps and pots is the perfect blend of nature and rustic. Your home is meant for your personal style. BTW... I don't think I ever noticed, til today , how many hanging wired lamp pendants you have over the stove wall. What a totally unique look.

I knew you were a kindred spirit. I too , barely break 5 ft and decorating is my passion! Along with gardening. I am also so jealous of the incredible garden you have to glean from. I love your homes high ceilings , large windows and great space. I , unfortunately have none of those. I have a small home with 8 foot ceilings, and can only have my living room and kitchen furniture in the same spot. But , I am making the most of what I have, and am so grateful at 72 to be in a peaceful, cozy, paid for home. Your decorating is always so inspiring. Your style is so unique and out of the box. I have been inspired to decorate with natural elements since finding your channel. My daughter and I went for a lovely walk on Friday evening and came back with a bag full of pinecones and hydrangea heads and other greenery from our local forest. I'm so lucky to live on 40 acres of pines & oak trees. Plenty of pine cones, acorns, deer antlers, turkey feathers, and my favorite, moss. My gardens supply me with fall bouquets. Your home is wonderful.

Wow, love your style with all the natural elements from nature. I went outside and cut some hydrangea and grabbed my old cider jug to bring in this color and feel for Fall. So glad I found your channel. Love that old free wood container you put wire on and styled with your hydrangea. Gives me hope that I can too decorate cheaply and have it look fabulous.

Oh Tracey I went through the woods behind my house and collected pine cones. I put them in the oven and they turned out beautiful thanks so much for the tip. I’m so excited to put them in my decor

Love all the natural elements from the woods and garden, always high-style on a budget from this content creator! My fave this week is the hydrangea box...seriously that is everything - taking something that was trash, "poshing it up" and creating something gorgeous!
