Having watches Sean on This Farming Life,I’m speechless with admiration for his work ethic and drive. If there’s any justice in the world he’ll do well and I hope ,be very happy.
Take my hat off to Sean and his family, honest nice, hard working people. I’ve just watched the episode in which he lost Tara, I feel for you mate, losing my dogs was bad enough but when you work with them every day and you have such a strong bond it must be so much worse, I admit I cried watching it, don’t be afraid to show your love for your animals, they love you back. All the best for the future, you deserve it.
Great to see a young man with such drive and determination. There is no doubt he will make a massive success of it. Having that degree of enthusiasm, coupled with his work ethic, experience and knowledge he will do a great job of it.
Loved to hear from Sean, especially to pick up some of those things that go into making land farmable. Very informative and interesting. That said, I'd listen to the two of them talking bout nearly anything I think 😊 lovely turn of phrase and accent
Wonderful to see how Sean is getting along. IT will be an added joy when you and Lizzy buy your first farm. What a relief that will be for you to have your own land all together and home and barns all near!
Always nice to see young people starting out and making it. Congratulations to him. Hope Lizzy, Jock and baby are doing fine. Not long to Mr. Jock, one year Birthday, big boy.
@@TheSheepGame Time flies when someone else is changing the diapers. My kids' first birthdays took ten years to come around! Feels like Jock was just born the other day. Amazing!
Congratulations Sean (bit late but never mind) I wish you every success and progress on your own land - glad your Dad and Uncle are supporting you too. Well done everyone !
Total congratulations to Sean on his Farm purchase and in turn grateful thanks to his Father and Uncle for supporting him with this endeavour. Hopefully the poor condition it is clearly in was reflected in the purchase price as the capital investment to drag things back to "normal" because that already has and will continue to be a major financial drain on the business. I wish you the very best for the future young man because I think you deserve it.
How interesting to hear this. I live in Florida, but I’ve been to Scotland a few times and went to Orkney twice, and went over to the Hebrides a couple of times. I just love that part of the world. I look forward to following Cammie’s progress and also your friend on Orkney.
Thanks Cammy for this catch-up with Sean. I met him and his better half briefly at the Royal Highland Show this year. It is great that they have got a farm and a massive project. Your turn next.
Hey Cammy! Thanks to all your inspiring videos I decided to learn to shear our Whitefaced Woodland sheep this year!! Was aiming to learn enough to have a go at one or two - ended up enjoying the work and shearing the majority of our flock of 40!! Big challenge, but we'll worth it!! Thanks from a hill farmer in North Yorkshire 🐏🐏🐏
Wow, living in Texas as I do, it’s amazing to see someone wearing a jacket in August. I forget just how much farther north y’all really are. Great video, and I’m getting better at understanding the accents!
Great to see Sean getting started on the new farm. This is the time to do it...whilst he is young and enthusiastic. He will be successful without doubt.
That was great to hear how Sean has been getting on with his new farm. I just love Sean’s accent. I switched on the subtitles and it was hilarious to see how it handled the accent (clue: it didn’t 🤣)
I guessed as much about the computer generated subtitles. I can understand Sean well, I had a Scottish mother. I’ve been waiting for a Sheep Game video just to see how the subtitles handled the Scottish accent so having Sean there as well was even better, plenty to chuckle at.
Any length of vedio is great. Is very enjoyable to see your friends. I for one would enjoy seeing vedios that have all the bloopers. Love seeing the shearing competitions. Have fun with wee Jock and enjoy the time with Lizzy before the new one is here. Hugs from Washington state . USA
We bought a ten acre farm that was run down and “underestimating the amount of work needed” is the greatest understatement that could possibly be made! Good luck to ye
Good to see you Cammy" I was getting withdrawal symptoms. Sean’s doing good! Love to Lizzie and Jock (birthday soon) and Lizzie’s bump. Looking forward to more frequent blogging . Regards from the Cambuslang emigrant.
love watching you and Lizzie working and just a all around culture of your country. very little sheep farming here in north Louisiana here in the U,S.A. God bless

Wow! Sean is doing great on that Orkney hill farm. Congratulations to Sean. I was wondering if it was raining or trying to snow ... but I've almost lost my ear for Sean's accent = need to hear more from Sean!
No worries for me on not getting out enough content. Sometimes I say "oh I wish I could see a video from Cammy". But then I say "oh yeah, it's shearing season". Great interview skills, Cammy.
Thanks for the catch up Cammy, and of course Sean! It's great to see and hear from someone who is trying to get started , for himself, in this difficult industry. He is very much aware that he wouldn't have been able to do as much without the help from his family, but doesn't take this for granted. He knew that if he didn't go for the farm when it became available, it could be a good few years before cheques would be made payable to him rather than his father for the selling of sheep you've bred!. Good luck to you Sean!( Next will be a wife and wains!!😂) Cammy , we know you actually have a " day job ", plus a family, plus extras, - there are only 24hours in a day!!😂, so we get to watch something when we get to watch something. Thank you (- hope Lizzie and wee Jock are well?) 👍🏻🐑❤
What an excellent video! You are very good at interviewing and the Viking did a good job answering. Sean is so humble in giving credit to help of his family, and I'm sure it's very valuable, but he should get credit for being such a hard worker and having the plan. I hope he has tremendous success! But as always the sheep and the beautiful scenery steal the show! Absolutely breathtaking! How do you get anything done? I'd have a hard time not just sitting and trying to soak it all in!
From the title, I thought you and Lizzie had bought a farm!😅(🙏 One day! Soon!) Yeah, I thought you hadn't been posting because you were engaged in negotiations. It will be such a sweet day for us all when you have your own farm🤗🤗🙌🥳🍾🥂
At first I thought YOU had bought a farm! Congratulations to Sean! So happy to see a video from you..I imagine having young Jock, a flock of your own, and shearing not only keeps you busy, but wears you out! Family (& your flock) definitely come before RUclips! ❤️ (Even though we miss you!) I love watching shearing-a video of that, even with no commentary-would be entertaining enough for me! How’s Lizzie doing? Wee Jock? Do you plan to find out if Jock will be a big brother to a boy or a girl? If so, will you tell your Sheep Fans? ❤️ So excited for you. Much love to you all from South Carolina, 🇺🇸❤️🐑
He’s buying another farm cos that’s a bloody good idea, hats off to u 4 the hard yard ahead, thought all the highland islands were only crafter titles, maybe I’m wrong cheers
Was so good to meet you in the shearing tent at the Dounby show on Thursday! That's me just watched this video meaning I've caught you up and seen every single video you've put on RUclips! What am I going to do now! Loved them all! Keep it up I can't wait for the next one already! Next time you're up you'll have to stop by and see my little flock. 😊
Good video, remember doing a camping holiday in the Orkneys 30 years ago and loved the place and then there were some cheap crofts and small pieces of land for sale at really affordable prices with a rough old house on and as a builder I really wanted to have a go but it is so far off and you think can i make a living in such a small place? And I never did go back !
Jesus Seán will have the whole island taken over soon 😄 well done Sean, working hard to make your dreams come true. Great video as always Cammy. You know the perfect questions to ask and don't mind sharing the camera. 🐑
Is there somewhere that I can follow the improvements in the farm he has bought Cammy?

It's a big choice getting a farm, and buying is just the start. As you mentioned getting a run down farm to how you want it is an ongoing project.

loved the catch up with your pal 'The Viking' great episode well done to the both of you and your families!!!!
Cool! Always liked Sean. Nice to see he’s doing so well. He’ll have wisdom to share when you buy your first farm.
He’ll have a lot of wisdom by the time that happens 😁
What a treat to see a new video, and this is wonderful to see how Shaun is coming along. Keep it up, your doing great!

Well done Sean 👏 we're still trying to get fences sorted after 17 years 😅. Always playing catch up!

What an AWSOME video. I saw things I will never see in real life. The land is gorgeous and the sheep and cows seem happy. ♥️
I love watch this channel!!! I always love the scenery. Farming is difficult, great to see young people stepping up and giving it a go.
Great video. So interesting to see all that goes in to repairing the land and moving forward on it.
Good luck Sean! Underestimating the amount of work seems common. Thanks for sharing your story.
That was great to hear how Sean has been getting on with his new farm.
I just love Sean’s accent. I switched on the subtitles and it was hilarious to see how it handled the accent (clue: it didn’t 🤣)
Computer-generated subtitles are iffy at the best of times, never mind when faced with a “non-standard” dialect like Sean’s.
I guessed as much about the computer generated subtitles. I can understand Sean well, I had a Scottish mother. I’ve been waiting for a Sheep Game video just to see how the subtitles handled the Scottish accent so having Sean there as well was even better, plenty to chuckle at.
