I thought it was too,and im still new to be both worlds,ok,not completely "new" to 40,000,more like de sha vue minus the reaction, actually put the reaction,I was supriseled.
All the original warhammer dudes like Rick Priestley credit 2000ad as a major influence, it's an old comic so it did a lot first! They also quote lots of other influences though, Moorcock being the largest besides the obvious Hobbity one!
This was refreshing to see, I actually have the comic where he talks about the merger of Deadlock and Nemesis. It's really such an interesting universe that Judge Dredd comes from.
My first introduction to the warriors was the Chronicles of Khaos so I had assumed he was always the leader. I've found him to be fascinating ever since. I loved how in Fallout (the last big story of the warriors) the Happy Sharpnel theorised he had joined with an alien entity and we got to see Clint Langley draw Nemesis.
A robot cannot use psychic abilities. Unless ... chaos fuckery occurs. In which usually a demon fuses with the ai and creates a symbiotic hybrid of the two. Which seems very likely in this case. I had no idea dread had so much warhammer 40k in it.
Do you buy 2000AD every week outa curiosity mann? I only mention cus the last prog was awesome. It started a new story called "Fall of Deadworld" following the alternate dimension to Judge Dredd? They've done others but this was so awesome, you'd love it. I know your familiar with dead world obvs, you coverd it abit with the Witches n Dark Judges but I was gonna suggest a video "Dead World Explained" maybe to cover it abit more? Hope Im not being to presumptuous mann :S
Great work Mr H. Deadlock was definitely my favourite of the ABC warriors. Can't wait for your next 2000ad review. I wonder who it will be? Slaine maybe?
Would be a very interesting battle! I'd like to think Deadlock would come out on top just because he is so unpredictable and has faced off against some truly awesome foes in the past, the Dark Judges are powerful but are very focused on mass killing, they have never really displayed the same cunning that Deadlock has!
Deadlock is basically a technological host for a Demon. Generating the base frequencies to allow a Djinn to manifest on the material plane. His unity with Nemesis is due to a demon of equal frequency possessing both. Hence the end to the feud. Imho.
I always loved the warriors and you mr H have got me back into them please keep going with the reviews on them as I can't wait for mec-quake and Joe pineapples ps I really like your work in general, keep it up Sir.
I might be wrong, but didn't Dredd have a bike chase with this guy. They went up the side of an angled building, and there was text about the North face of the Eigor. (Not the real Eigor of course, but I think it was the name of the building.) ... 0:29 shows him on a bike and it looks familiar.
Mr H Reviews so more or less like the darkness charator ... An anti hero just like you sad in you video ... God demn 2024 is an intersting univarse to explore you find some new shit evry day
I know this is a long shot given the age of this video but could we look to talk about the rest of the Warriors, if I had to request one, it would be Joe Pineapple.
Ben Chenery yes they do, certain random characters link them all together. Judge Dredd is nearest to our time, then strontium dog then nemesis and abc are both at the same time and feature in each other's strips but are far distant future.
Ben Chenery savage is after my time reading 2000ad but checked it out and yea, same volgans, savage seems to be the nearest to our time with the very first abc warriors strips called originally Ro busters set about 80 years later, which are both thousands of years before some of the later ABC warrior strips. The ABC warriors are by far the longest living characters in the 2000ad universe. Basically they seem to try and link as many characters as possible.
No, not really. Judge Dredd's creator and writer John Wagner doesn't consider them connected and never writes stories that connect his work to Pat Mills' world of characters. It's only some of Pat Mills' older stories that had some slight, incidental connections - like Satanus the dinosaur - but they can be explained by them being parallel manifestations from the Time Wastes in Nemesis the Warlock. John Wagner's history of Mega-City 1/Judges story, *Judge Dredd: Origins* , never mentions ABC Warriors or Volgans, and since there are no significant crossovers or crossover stories, the 2 world's of Wagner and Mills don't connect in any meaningful way.
Can you do a primer on ABC warriors? Like what's it about what's it's time and where's a good place to dive in? (Is it satire like early dread? Robo-warlocks sound like satire)
Mr H Reviews yeah I found that video :) I guess I was looking for something a bit more comprehensive About the universe they exist in and the tone of the book are the stories pretty much self contained ect... But awesome content anyway! Thank for the videos and the response
Do the ABC Warriors have anything to do with the ABC Warbots? ABC Warbots were shown in the Stallone 1995 movie, I figured they must have been in the comic somewhere, and I always thought they were cool (even if the movie was not).
there's only at the moment a tangental link between ABC warriors and the Judge Dredd universe , both are put out by 2000AD . But as far as mystical elements in judge Dredd well look at the dark Judges.. it kinda runs deep in that universe too.
There are quite a lot of strange qualities to the 2000AD-verse and Dredd isnt a stranger to them. He has had aliens, time travellers, demons (the Dark Judges), mutants (including the type with super powers), (were-)dinosaurs and zombies pass through his city. If im not mistaken there even used to be a retired Judge turned werewolf who patrolled the ghetto underbelly of Mega City One, trying to keep that area safe. As if everyday life in Meg-1 isnt weird enough already.
A necromancer Chaos worshipping robot: this could only come from 2000ad or 40k
Necron chaos sorcerer ?
From Britain in otherwords
I need to get back to reading more of Judge Dredd. I used to read these comics back in the 90s when I was growing up and find the world fascinating.
Always astonished me how hey manage to keep coming up with material.
If not for the Judge Dredd stuff, one would think that this guy is from Warhammer with the whole Chaos god thing.
Zantom like a combo of necron and chaos
I thought it was too,and im still new to be both worlds,ok,not completely "new" to 40,000,more like de sha vue minus the reaction, actually put the reaction,I was supriseled.
All the original warhammer dudes like Rick Priestley credit 2000ad as a major influence, it's an old comic so it did a lot first! They also quote lots of other influences though, Moorcock being the largest besides the obvious Hobbity one!
ABC Warriors and 40000k's very own Men Of Iron. A.I. is never the good guy in sci-fi.
Moorcock invented the concept of Chaos before 2000AD partially explored it and long before Warhammer.
I always thought that Dredd was more down to earth comics :p This is some fantasy realm stuff right there.
That's why I prefer ABC Warriors comics to Judge Dredd comics, they are more creative and over-the-top in that way
Ya it's about a judge not dead police coming back to life being zombies and crap wtf dread how could they mess something up so bad
"What's your name?"
"Deadlock, what's yours?"
"Taserface!"
(Epic Brofist ensues)
Chaos you say? *HERESY INTENSEFIES*
This was refreshing to see, I actually have the comic where he talks about the merger of Deadlock and Nemesis. It's really such an interesting universe that Judge Dredd comes from.
All i want in life is to hear you say "The Lament Configuration..." brilliant Sir, simply brilliant..
ABC Warriors was one of my favourite 2000AD story arcs.

0:42 is that a frikkin' chainsaw bike?!!!! IS THAT A FRIKKIN' CHAINSAW BIKE???!!!
Yes
Chaos gods? Evil ancient robots? Psykic powers? Sounds like a certain far flung future filled with war........
Uploading new videos at 7am Mr H? What an odd time :D

Great work Mr H. Deadlock was definitely my favourite of the ABC warriors. Can't wait for your next 2000ad review. I wonder who it will be? Slaine maybe?
so this guy would be a nightmare for the Dark judges I guess..
I thought he was one.
Would be a very interesting battle! I'd like to think Deadlock would come out on top just because he is so unpredictable and has faced off against some truly awesome foes in the past, the Dark Judges are powerful but are very focused on mass killing, they have never really displayed the same cunning that Deadlock has!
Send the Main Man to catch Deadlock ... and Anderson, this is CONFIDENTIAL.
Psychic robot warriors? This shit is SO METAL🤘🤘🤘🤘
This was an awesome video, thank you for the upload. 💪
A robot/knigth/wizard/anarchist. Good old Mills and his chaotic imagination does it again.
Oh yeah !! Love the ABC Warriors especially Deadlock , the art work in the chronicles of chaos and Hellbringer is amazing !!
i love at 1:10, in the lower right corner, the shield has a skull with mickey mouse ears. I laughed.
Deadlock is basically a technological host for a Demon. Generating the base frequencies to allow a Djinn to manifest on the material plane.
His unity with Nemesis is due to a demon of equal frequency possessing both. Hence the end to the feud. Imho.
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
Why noone is making movies about ABC Warriors ??
Robots can't have "super human" strength, they're not human.
Ah, the robot space wizard of my childhood....
I always loved the warriors and you mr H have got me back into them please keep going with the reviews on them as I can't wait for mec-quake and Joe pineapples ps I really like your work in general, keep it up Sir.

After you finish covering the A B C Warriors of course!
Bisley did the ABC Warriors justice !
tatfrenzy - Simon Bisley is one of the greatest ever. Love his work on Slaine also.
He's sounds like A robot Elric of Melniboné.
If a necron fell to chaos...
So friggin' cool.

Robot mystic
True,y amazing
Seems like a Man of Iron from the Warhammer 40K universe.
Warhammer concepts are heavily influenced by 2000ad.
If you ever go to some comic lore do an Elric of Melniboné, just a request if you ever go there
this is comic Lore....
See this what happens when you comment at 3AM
That's the kind of monster..deaths head 2..would assimilate..with blade configuration...or his diff blasters.
Well he is one intersting villan
not strictly a villain buddy lol, he works with heros, is a complicated character
Mr H Reviews so more or less like the darkness charator ...
An anti hero just like you sad in you video ...
God demn 2024 is an intersting univarse to explore you find some new shit evry day
Love Deadlock!
Yeah man
Plz do more abc warriors
Are you gonna do the other warriors separately?
How much longer until you start going into detail about Nemesis the warlock?
I don't know?
is he based on Allan Moore :)
How do these characters who live through the centuries tie in with Dredd
"Judge Dredd Explained"
_Talks about an ABC Warriors character_
I know this is a long shot given the age of this video but could we look to talk about the rest of the Warriors, if I had to request one, it would be Joe Pineapple.
I'm getting a warhammer/power rangers vibe.
Hey, do ABC Warriors, Nemesis the Warlock and Judge Dredd exist in the same universe? And Savage too? Cause wasn't the Volgans in that as well?
Ben Chenery yes they do, certain random characters link them all together. Judge Dredd is nearest to our time, then strontium dog then nemesis and abc are both at the same time and feature in each other's strips but are far distant future.
Elliot Bradley Ah I see, so is Savage not then? Cause they both use Volgans, or am I wrong with that?
Ben Chenery savage is after my time reading 2000ad but checked it out and yea, same volgans, savage seems to be the nearest to our time with the very first abc warriors strips called originally Ro busters set about 80 years later, which are both thousands of years before some of the later ABC warrior strips. The ABC warriors are by far the longest living characters in the 2000ad universe. Basically they seem to try and link as many characters as possible.
Elliot Bradley Ah I see now, so it's one long line of of times eh? Makes sense, if a few plot holes here and there. Thanks mate.
No, not really. Judge Dredd's creator and writer John Wagner doesn't consider them connected and never writes stories that connect his work to Pat Mills' world of characters. I've already covered the ABC warriors as an overview buddy :)
Mr H Reviews yeah I found that video :) I guess I was looking for something a bit more comprehensive About the universe they exist in and the tone of the book are the stories pretty much self contained ect...
But awesome content anyway! Thank for the videos and the response
I try and encourage people to pick up and support the comic :)
Is Judge Dredd just cannon in 40K at this point?
40k was inspired by 2000ad
If he was then the chaos gods would be currently gracing an iso-cube
Judge dread?
Dredd vs mars attacks
+Desmond Craddock ?
haha Sorry, I'll phrase that like an actual question.
Can you make a video on Judge Dredd Vs Mars Attacks Please?
HERESY!!
….wait.
So then this guy should rule the wasteland.
Do the ABC Warriors have anything to do with the ABC Warbots? ABC Warbots were shown in the Stallone 1995 movie, I figured they must have been in the comic somewhere, and I always thought they were cool (even if the movie was not).
no they just took the concept of the abc warriors and wove it into the movie pal
Yeah, I found that out when RUclips suggested another of your vids about them. Dang, I never knew 2000 A.D. had so much stuff!
...why the fuck did I instantly think of Hellsing when I saw this guy?
Judgement time.
Do you think the terminator war took place in this world
+Survival Of The Littest no, it's not even close to the same universe
Do some warhammer 40 000! The God Emperor first!!
+mick I do warhammer 40k videos buddy. Every Monday
What is all this mystic lore stuff? I thought Judge Dredd was just about a cop/judge guy that shots criminals.
there's only at the moment a tangental link between ABC warriors and the Judge Dredd universe , both are put out by 2000AD . But as far as mystical elements in judge Dredd well look at the dark Judges.. it kinda runs deep in that universe too.

deadlock looks just like zordon from power rangers lol.
Chrono105 dude he looks like zed. Zordon is a lava lamp
Wait how the fuck is this guy a robot? He has got to be a Litch. This is straight out of the Red Wizards of Theay.
+TraciPeteyforlife unfortunately not, deadlock first appeared ten years prior to the forgotten realms inception :) 2000ad were ahead of their time
Mr H Reviews really? Damn. Now that is crazy.
i unliked just to like this video again. keep up the good work

+eViL dAvE yes most definitely pal, I actually changed the most recent video in the series
