As a former florist I had an Uh Oh Bag for my clients which cost an extra $175.00. It included: Bandaids Superglue Nail repair kit Floral glue Extra undies (cause those dresses don't breathe!) Isotoner Slippers in White (I have yet to see a bride wear her shoes all night long) Needle, thread in 12 colors and stitch witchery. A mini steamer 1 cigarette of tobacco for bee stings and instructions to kill the sting and swelling quick After 20 years of owning my shop there was not a single bride who did not end up using at least 4 things from that bag.
I wouldn’t have used all of that. Just the slippers but I knew to bring my own. HOWEVER, really smart to pack all these things as I had a similar emergency kit that didn’t get used but boy was it nice to have just in case! Good list :)
I bought gorgeous and expensive Betsy Johnson shoes for my wedding… the heel broke off within 5 minutes of my first time ever wearing the shoes, which was during a dance rehearsal 3 days before the wedding. I ended up wearing my mom’s super comfy , budget heels.
I wore Betsy Johnson rhinestoned sneakers for less than $100. Our wedding was in the woods and it rained the whole day before. Literally could not have picked a better shoe, one of the best decisions I made!
Anyone attending a wedding should consider how much they’re drinking. You can have fun without being drunk. Plus you’ll remember most of the night too. Think about how you’ll look in pictures if you’re sloshed. I worked weddings for 4 years. Trust me on this
To prevent hangovers drink as much water as you can keep down before you fo to sleep. Everytime u wake up take a sip, and if you throw up drink more water. This will flush the by-products of alcohol metabolism and keep your electrolytes more balanced.
If I ever find the man I'm meant to marry, I want to spend as little as possible and make it stress free as possible. I don't handle stress well at all. My shoes will probably be tennis shoes (I hate flats and heels), a nice simple dress from a cheap store, and little to no flowers (allergies) 💀 I like the idea of maybe a fancier dress (think medieval style) but honestly I'd be so nervous I would be doing everything possible not to elope lol 😂
@@imaginationsmusic1985 Why not just get a marriage certificate then to prevent all that stress? It sounds like the idea of a wedding might not be for you.
Tip from an actual wedding vendor who has seen brides crying at how badly their shoes hurt: if you buy new heels for your wedding WEAR YOUR SHOES BEFORE YOUR WEDDING!!! Break them in as much as you can or you will regret it
We left for our honeymoon a week after the wedding (that's just when the place had the room we wanted available). It was really nice because we didn't live together before we got married (personal choice, you do you), so we had a week to get settled at home before being gone. It was nice to not come home from our honeymoon and just have a house full of boxes.
She said these are her regrets guys! Lay off lol. Obviously she knows they were not the right choices as they are REGRETS 😂 But for many of us the hope is that our wedding will be our only so why not make it as special as you want?? If you aren’t going broke over it why not? 🤷🏾♀️
Thank you for sharing this! I bought my wedding shoes few days ago, they are pointy flats. I’m in 40s and this will be my 2nd marriage, so I’m not wearing heels (well, maybe just for pictures) 😀😆
I’m buying $1500 Louboutins!! Still deciding on the design, but now I know, no embellishments on them though. Thanks for the tip! I’m having a Friday wedding and honeymoon on Monday. But my bridesmaids are already planning brunch and renting a boat on the weekend! I’ll be hungover and cranky but I’ll be drinking a lot of water on the boat. You are a gorgeous bride and had a gorgeous destination wedding. People are open with their jealousy nowadays it seems 🤷♀️ don’t listen to the comments.
I only had 2 drinks at our wedding. We left straight afterwards to drive 16 hrs to Florida. Changed out of my wedding dress complete with steel boned corset in the venue bathroom (it was just a regular restaurant) lmao. Got taco bell for dinner that night. My entire wedding was $2k. I spent under 200 for the dress and my shoes were glitter flats from Payless (RIP). My only regret was that our cake was inedible, but there's nothing we could have done to prevent that. We had a fantastic tasting with the baker and also stopped by on other occasions to grab baked goods from her shop. Everything was excellent. Then, the wedding cake layers were undercooked on the inside, burned on the outside, and it took us an hour to cut into because it was frozen. I spent $300 of my dainty wedding budget on a custom cake, even though we were only having about 20 guests, because my family loves cake and I figured I'd be sending people home with big chunks. Nobody wanted any. We ended up hauling most of that awful cake all the way to Florida and back, where it sat in the fridge for 3 weeks before we chucked it.
These are great suggestions! It sounds like you had an expensively gorgeous dream wedding! Do you or anyone in the comments have any advice for someone with a small budget who still wants a dream wedding? What to splurge on, what not to splurge on? I reaaaally want a gorgeous black goth wedding dress and gothic black and red themed wedding but it sounds so expensive lol plus I SUCK at designing things like I’ll end up having to pay for a wedding planner :/
both me and my partner aren't huge drinkers (we don't abstain but we don't drink just to drink), we don't want alcohol at our reception (turns out it also brings down the costs and planning complexity by a lot too!) and seeing this video made me go very firm on that decision lol
We had our honeymoon 6 months after our wedding as we saved to go on a better honeymoon. I liked leaving longer as well cause it kind of extended our wedding experience instead of it all being over straight away.
Thank you for saving me the pain. I will probably never buy expensive shoes with embellishments like that now I have trust issues but you look stunning before and after your wedding. Recommendation, Jimmy Choos make the best shoes for weddings. Everyone I know has gotten a pair of Jimmy Choos, and when they got married and they have not regretted them. Suggestion, buy the white, as you are able to get those dyed.
I thought the first regret would've been the balcony you took that photo on - could've chosen a cleaner looking one 😅 or a photographer who could've edited out all that bird poop 😅. Shoes should've been returned and refunded instead of repaired. Also, do people not see the issues with alcohol - it's not worth it - expensive, feel really rubbish after, has caused many fatalities such as Road accidents, people have often regretted decisions made whilst intoxicated, breath smells.... Drink juice!!!
My wedding regrets: (1) Too many guests, (2) Wish we'd had morning suits for the guys rather than tuxes, (3) Wish we'd allowed my bridesmaids to pick the style of their dresses
What's the difference between the tasks/duties of a wedding planner and a wedding reception manager? As a matter of fact, _do_ wedding receptions have a professional manager?
I have 1 pre-wedding event and then my wedding (both venues are 1.5hrs away from my home). And I'm leaving for my honeymoon the next day. However, I do not drink alcohol and my flight is at 10PM the following night so I'm hoping that'll be enough time to recover.
No the whole point of a destination wedding is the backdrop and venue. The honeymoon is a separate thing. Most people are concerned that if they honeymoon at the same resort they got married in, clingy family and guests will bother them and go to their room. It happens. I had a friend marry in Jamaica and honeymoon in Greece Another got married in Iceland and honeymooned in Scotland Another married in Bali and honeymooned in Australia. There are no rules for your wedding. You do whatever you want.
I got my wedding shoes off Amazon. They were the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I ended up taking them off after the ceremony. But I also got my dress hemmed to the heel height so now it was long. If I could go back I would’ve skipped shoes altogether and had my dress hemmed to barefoot height.
This!!! I had my dress hemmed for a two-three inch heel which isn’t too bad but I knew it was only for a bit of time! I shouldn’t have had it hemmed for those shoes knowing that I’d be in my bridal flats the rest of the time! I had a second outfit change but I only really changed bc my dress was now dragging too much on the floor. Had I had it hemmed to barefoot, I would have stayed in my gorgeous and expensive dress all night! That’s my biggest regret…not wearing my dress all night! But it was because of the shoes! I had hemmed my second outfit to be at barefoot length and not my actual wedding dress 🥲
Me and my fiancé are planning to leave either the day after or 2 days after wedding we don’t drink at all we both personally just don’t like the taste of alcohol so we aren’t thinking about hangovers it’s deciding if we will be packed for the honeymoon😂
And I rather take $1,500 and put it towards the honeymoon or something much better then a pair of shoes not only that I can craft those shoes for a lot less and they wouldn't break
I can vouch for not going on honeymoons the next day 😩 9 hour flight plus wedding come down and predisposed anxious person =very poorly with insomnia and anxiety episode for the first week of the two week honeymoon. I was gutted and felt so guilty!
We went a week after the wedding to regroup and enjoy the week with our family and friends in town. Then, we left and was supposed to be gone for only 2 weeks, but it turned into 4 😂
I forgot to even have a drink after my wedding because I was so busy trying to talk to all my guests all night. Someone had to get me an emergency GnT🤦♀️😂
Destination wedding , should be the honeymoon really ,it's just logic.thats why people do it. Then two planes and did she say two hour drive that sounds awful . Not thought properly out with a hangover. I found designer shoes reduced from €1200 to €120 they where great and very comfy 💗
If you live in the states, Pigeon Forge TN is a really great, kid friendly vacation. It's beautiful, affordable, lots of stuff to do, and Dollywood is the least stress theme park EVER -- with plenty of places to sit, get out of the sun, spacious and clean restrooms, food and souvenirs that don't cost an arm and a leg, a free splash area in the summer, music shows, rides that the whole family can get on, rollercoasters my 3 year old could ride.
I got married at the nearest courthouse with my family and friends there. My only regret was not making sure mh hair looked nicer. My wedding only cost $180 and my dress was on clearance for $75! Oh, and we went to Olive Garden afterwards.
If I had a do over for my wedding there’s only 3 things I would change: 1. I would not have bought my wedding dress because it cost around 2 months worth of rent. Instead I would buy a white bridesmaid dress from the same place I got my wedding dress and that would have only been $80 2. I would definitely go with a different baker for my cake because she was awful. The cake tasted good but the customer service was baaaaaad. 3. I’d invite less people or try to get a slightly bigger place for the reception. But I really did enjoy my wedding and I’m happy with how it turned out. It was beautiful and my husband is amazing!
I remember years ago when Payless did an experiment and they copied some designer, making the same style and called it something where you would think it was some designer from Italy and people fell for it.

Huh ? This is very normal to do for your wedding 💀💀 TONS of people over spend for their dress/shoes and drink heavier. You’re talking like she did this for a Friday night out 😂
For $1500 you bet I’d be coming back to that store with complaints. Especially if it could’ve ruined my wedding
How is an embellishment on your shoe falling off is something that would "ruin" your wedding?
@@Twintertainment because you paid almost 2k for shoes that are literally ruined before your wedding…think a little 🙄. Imagine if your veil tore the night before.
A little dramatic to say the embellishment coming off would ruin the whole wedding.
@@giaparmerthis still by no means shouldnresult in a ruined wedding. Tell me you’re entitled and cannot tolerate obstacles in life without tell me you’re entitled and cannot tolerate obstacles in life.
The groom not showing is a ruined wedding. The caterers not showing….the guests getting food poisoning….mother in law getting shitfaced drunk and belligerently yelling at people….those are ruined weddings…..not a tear in the veil or a shoe defect. Good lord.
@@Chels-fz5uq girl you do not know about anybody’s ability to tolerate obstacles in life 💀💀 tell me you have a superiority complex without telling me you have a superiority complex. But yeah absolutely if you spend $1,500 on a pair of shoes without a backup pair that’s an issue. Just like if ANYTHING happened to your presentation on the day of or before your literal wedding that you spent tens of thousands of dollars on it would be an issue. You act like it’s any old pair of shoes and not a pair for her wedding day that she invested in and was excited about.
As a former florist I had an Uh Oh Bag for my clients which cost an extra $175.00.
It included:
Bandaids
Superglue
Nail repair kit
Floral glue
Extra undies (cause those dresses don't breathe!)
Isotoner Slippers in White (I have yet to see a bride wear her shoes all night long)
Needle, thread in 12 colors and stitch witchery.
A mini steamer
1 cigarette of tobacco for bee stings and instructions to kill the sting and swelling quick
After 20 years of owning my shop there was not a single bride who did not end up using at least 4 things from that bag.
I wouldn’t have used all of that. Just the slippers but I knew to bring my own. HOWEVER, really smart to pack all these things as I had a similar emergency kit that didn’t get used but boy was it nice to have just in case! Good list :)
Wait hold up....how does a cigarette help with a bee sting??? I would already have my own lol
$1500 for shoes! 😩 I got my wedding shoes off the clearance rack at DSW… and they held up just fine
I would cry. Literally. Lol.
Anyone attending a wedding should consider how much they’re
drinking. You can have fun without being drunk.
Plus you’ll remember most of the night too.
Think about how you’ll look in pictures if you’re sloshed.
I worked weddings for 4 years. Trust me on this
Those shoes are worth my rent! 😅
To prevent hangovers drink as much water as you can keep down before you fo to sleep. Everytime u wake up take a sip, and if you throw up drink more water. This will flush the by-products of alcohol metabolism and keep your electrolytes more balanced.
great way to piss 3 times on a night you need the most rest 😂
The resting advice is 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Bless you for including your hung over picture 😂 congratulations on your wedding and thanks for sharing
I spent $9 on my wedding shoes lol
😂
We had the most similar wedding dress! Great taste 🫶🏼🤍
Tip from an actual wedding vendor who has seen brides crying at how badly their shoes hurt: if you buy new heels for your wedding WEAR YOUR SHOES BEFORE YOUR WEDDING!!! Break them in as much as you can or you will regret it
Wedding regrets most of us will never have to contend with.
This is so helpful thank you!!
It all looks so beautiful though ✨
Thank you🥰💕
Thank you for sharing this! I bought my wedding shoes few days ago, they are pointy flats. I’m in 40s and this will be my 2nd marriage, so I’m not wearing heels (well, maybe just for pictures) 😀😆
I knew those heels were all hype 😢 so cute though all of them
We’re to old to be getting drunk and then jump on a plane the next day no ma’am I need 3 business days to fully recover now 😂
How about not getting drunk at all as a solution? Good for your health not to drink.
@@marianemashkalo4182 you seem lovely
I’m buying $1500 Louboutins!! Still deciding on the design, but now I know, no embellishments on them though. Thanks for the tip!
I’m having a Friday wedding and honeymoon on Monday. But my bridesmaids are already planning brunch and renting a boat on the weekend! I’ll be hungover and cranky but I’ll be drinking a lot of water on the boat.
You are a gorgeous bride and had a gorgeous destination wedding. People are open with their jealousy nowadays it seems 🤷♀️ don’t listen to the comments.
The best intermission yet! The Education Connection song will always be a bop
16 hour drive?! Why not fly?
@@lt3968 screaming cheapie 😂😂😂
i hope you got your money back or DRAGGED her for selling you that iced up hockey puck!!
Thank you for this!!!
My biggest wedding regret was getting married 😅😐
All i can do is honestly laugh that hangover face man I felt that so bad 😅
ok but why do i kinda wanna give out pj pants or something at my wedding like a mitzvah😭😭
That’s a great idea

I'm glad I don't drink alcohol that way I can just enjoy the next day fully
Umm you don't necessarily have to get drunk but you can have a drink or 2 and it'll be ok
@kristinrodgers7210
Well, I think the diabetes will have something to say about that. 🤪
both me and my partner aren't huge drinkers (we don't abstain but we don't drink just to drink), we don't want alcohol at our reception (turns out it also brings down the costs and planning complexity by a lot too!) and seeing this video made me go very firm on that decision lol
Ohhh as a portuguese, Sintra is beautiful!
We had our honeymoon 6 months after our wedding as we saved to go on a better honeymoon. I liked leaving longer as well cause it kind of extended our wedding experience instead of it all being over straight away.
emphasis on HER wedding regrets and HER money
My husband and I went on our honeymoon 5 months after. Nothing wrong with going later.
I actually like that
If i ever getting married, I'll buy shoes i can wear the hell out of later
I have never heard this before Usually people leave right after but this is literally the second time I've Heard this this week.
My wedding was on a Saturday and I left that Monday. Glad I did it that way as well.
I’ve heard Amina Muaddi heels always break. They’re poorly made and the finishing isn’t that neat
Can confirm they are the worst and I wish I new that earlier
The shoes 😭😭😭
Thanks ma, won't be doing this 😂....congratulations....
Thank you for saving me the pain. I will probably never buy expensive shoes with embellishments like that now I have trust issues but you look stunning before and after your wedding. Bruh i spent $30 on lacey flats, but they fit and felt like super comfy sneakers. People weren't seeing my shoes anyway. Future brides, COMFORT.
If you have drinks at your wedding, i agree of taking the next day off. My husband and I dont drink so we had a dry wedding. We still barely made it to the airport lol
Recommendation, Jimmy Choos make the best shoes for weddings. Everyone I know has gotten a pair of Jimmy Choos, and when they got married and they have not regretted them. Suggestion, buy the white, as you are able to get those dyed.
Jimmy Choo over Louboutin? I’ve been eying both
I thought the first regret would've been the balcony you took that photo on - could've chosen a cleaner looking one 😅 or a photographer who could've edited out all that bird poop 😅.
The photo is giving rustic/antique. It looks fine
My wedding regrets: (1) Too many guests, (2) Wish we'd had morning suits for the guys rather than tuxes, (3) Wish we'd allowed my bridesmaids to pick the style of their dresses
My dads cousin literally left his wedding early to go on his honeymoon lmao
My future husband is sober from alcohol so we don’t have to ever worry about being hungover 😎 I’d like to honeymoon right after the wedding too
Bless your heart 😅
This is my dream wedding destination!!!
Was I the only one who saw that embellishment was going to just snap right off? 👀
What's the difference between the tasks/duties of a wedding planner and a wedding reception manager? As a matter of fact, _do_ wedding receptions have a professional manager?
Girllllll I have the same wedding dress ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have 1 pre-wedding event and then my wedding (both venues are 1.5hrs away from my home). And I'm leaving for my honeymoon the next day. However, I do not drink alcohol and my flight is at 10PM the following night so I'm hoping that'll be enough time to recover.
the 1,500 dollar shoe falling apart is insane! I’ve purchased luxury shoes before but they are always great quality, that brand should be ashamed 😂❤
I love Portugal it’s beautiful and u r too❤
Pt1 is crazy
Isn’t the whole point of a destination wedding that you’re already at your dream location. why would you need/want a honeymoon elsewhere?
No the whole point of a destination wedding is the backdrop and venue.
The honeymoon is a separate thing. Most people are concerned that if they honeymoon at the same resort they got married in, clingy family and guests will bother them and go to their room. It happens.
I had a friend marry in Jamaica and honeymoon in Greece
Another got married in Iceland and honeymooned in Scotland
Another married in Bali and honeymooned in Australia.
There are no rules for your wedding. You do whatever you want.
Bridezilla.... why can't the ceremony be sacred the most intricate expensive weddings are short lived for the most part..there r exceptions
I think I need to take this advice I don’t wanna be throwing up on the plane lol
Imagine spending 1500 dollars on shoes just for your feet to hurt at the end of the night, and no one is actually looking at them lmao
i scheduled a day between wedding n honeymoon and it was AWESOME!
Good advice. Any other tips? Getting married next year.
people who handtalk to show off their rings...all I needed to see...
I bought $80 Betsy Johnson heels for prom 6 years ago and decided they were good enough to keep for wedding shoes
Destination wedding , should be the honeymoon really ,it's just logic.thats why people do it. Then two planes and did she say two hour drive that sounds awful . Not thought properly out with a hangover.
I found designer shoes reduced from €1200 to €120 they where great and very comfy 💗
Planned the honeymoon for 5 weeks after the wedding, so we definitely have enough money & energy to actually enjoy
I ALWAYS hear issues with the quality of that show brand. But also I’d never spend that much on wedding shoes 😭
Dr. Scholl's flats ✨
I still haven’t left for my honeymoon. 3.5 years later, still recovering. Somehow have kids I have to take with me now too. Send help
Good tips, never buy trendy designer in general is a good rule. Especially for your wedding you’ll be looking at pictures forever.
I got married at the nearest courthouse with my family and friends there. My only regret was not making sure mh hair looked nicer. My wedding only cost $180 and my dress was on clearance for $75! Oh, and we went to Olive Garden afterwards.
I regret not getting a videographer
If I had a do over for my wedding there’s only 3 things I would change:
1. I would not have bought my wedding dress because it cost around 2 months worth of rent. Instead I would buy a white bridesmaid dress from the same place I got my wedding dress and that would have only been $80
I want this video to go viral 😊
