- Here's a look at this Citroen Berlingo Multispace Micro Camper Conversion from GB Camper Conversions.
Take a tour of our latest campervan creation inside and out. This Citroen Berlingo Multispace Desire makes a great micro camper, specifically with this conversion creating neat and practical use of such a small area. With rear overhead storage this neat Microcamper conversion consists of a large storage unit with 3 shelved cupboards and a worktop hatch for further storage. Built using high quality lightweight poplar ply finished in Pistachio with Aluminium doors and Aluminium corner profile for a sturdy well made finish with Black sparkle worktop which finishes off this unit nicely. The large storage unit is where the 240v pull up tower is located for sockets and USB power outlets, 240v mains inlet and RCD protected consumer unit fitted. A Portable butane Gas Stove and collapsible washing up bowl are also included. The rear L-shaped seating provides comfort for relaxing and using the unit for cooking or washing with ease, both seats are fitted with heavy duty runners to allow the seats to be extended to make a decent comfortable bed measuring 800mm X 1700mm when fully extended, with storage below both seating units. A nice sized internal or external dining table finished in black sparkle with folding telescopic leg is easy to use and stows away neatly at the end of the large unit. The smaller rear extendable seat can be easily removed for use outside or to create a bigger space inside for short days out.
This coversion was built with practicality in mind, maximising storage space and functionality.

So cleverly thought, mobile units and portable😊. Office car during the winter and leisure car in the summer👍. No need for permanent gaz and water inside the car, I agree. If you had the cupboard at the same height as the sitting benches you could make a double bed, why do you need so high for?

I'm thinking of converting my partner tepee so this gives me a better idea of the space when everything is removed .I already have a side awning and a 10ft x 10ft x 7ft tent that fits over the rear door .

I've never had a camper so sorry if the following idea is flawed...
Have the slide out mount in the console with storage inside.(looking from the back it slide from left to the centre.)
Then have the console lower down onto the void left to bed level.
Allowing you to lay the bed across the whole car.
The voids left when the mounts pull out are wasted space.

Very nice conversion, cleverly thought out. Looks like no insulation making it very cold during a UK winter.
It seems it’s of a more of a weekend picnic or one overnight kind of camper…. not really suitable for touring, or for bad weather…

I have seen few videos with coverted Berlingo/Partner, and must admit portable sink and stove is great idea. Gives you more flexibility and variability. I also like the simple, clean, yet modern look of the interior. Could you please show how you built the electricity?
I'm guessing he's not showing you because that's how he makes his money. Im literally about to buy one of these to do the same and as a novice have no idea how to sort the electrics. I live in the same town as this dude so looks like I'll have to pay him to do it as he hasn't shown me how ..... clever

Iam missing a small kitchen sink. I have seen these one at a micro camper of some people at RUclips. You need two canisters, one for fresh water and the other for sewage.

It is a great build but its funny him trying to say that he could sleep comfortably in there as one person, the bed is way too short for him lolz, I'm about 6 foot and have this one, for me I wound the chair down all the way to the floor then put the end piece of the bed on top of that so Ive got more than enough foot room
i'd have less storage space and worktop but not a bad conversion
Is this a summertime van, as you don't mention insulation and there is a lot of glass?
What about dropping the spare wheel, How do you access the bolt from under the centre of that flooring ?
You can see the spare wheel dropping mechanism in the video. We cut out the slot in the flooring at the rear of the vehicle.
Inspiring build, very well made. 170cm lenght of the bed is a bit short for a man 189cm long though. In my Berlingo (Peugeot Partner) I dropped the back rest of the driver seat to the rear and extended the bed above the back rest all the way to the steering wheel. The bed than rests on the driver seat and I got 190cm. Due to the layout unfortunately only 75cm in width what is a bit narrow for comfy sleep. Wish I got 90cm out of it. But it is a mini-camper....and in the end one has to die one death....:-)

It's securely in place at the top end of the kitchen/storage unit behind the passenger seat.

Hello there how much do you charge to do this conversion I'm about to buy a Berlingo blaze.
When you took out the side seat, to put the table up, you then sat on the seat near the van seats. That seat only sat one. What if there was two of you. What about screens on window for privacy. Especially at night. Very good job though. I think there great and affordable vans.
Hi Jayne, window screens are available for the Berlingo. We're actually working on another berlingo with wider seat boxes that would suit 2 people more comfortably. There are always plenty of options with these setups.

my berlingo desire doesnt have a way of opening the boot door from the inside, does this one??
im having to leave access to one of the side door.
Yep, that's what I was thinking, I can't open mine from the inside, I have to exit from the side doors which would be tricky with this layout. Also the front seats don't wind forward by much but they wind all the way back so that's actually a better option for a longer bed. I'm 6ft and otherwise it's a bit short.
The only way to open the door from the inside is to put a hole in the plastic cover on the inside of the back door and there’s the lever you can operate to lock and unlock the door and another lever to open it, then it’s a case of making a removable panel to access it when you need to

It’s a bit different. Regarding the bed did I hear correctly 1700mm long, which is about 5’7”? And you are about 6’1”, which is 1.85m? And a standard single bed is 1900mm or 6’3” long. Something doesn’t add up...

Ive just bought a 2005 Belingo Desire, and I plan to do a lot if similar things with mine (to go fishing for a night or two) but I wonder how you did the floor. You said you put vinyl on the floor, but how did you prepare the floor? ...or did you put the vinyl direct on the metal floor?

@@dianajewel123 Hi Diana. ...first, its just the 'Desire' Belingos that has the windows in the roof. No, you cannot open them on the model year I have, and as far as I know, you can't open them on any 'Desire'. It is really nice to have them and you get real light into the var even on rainy days, but no. You cannot open them. However, I am sure that if you are handy around a car or take it to a garage, it should not be difficult to put an 'opener' on a few of the roof windows. However, make sure you can get it threw the MOT after that modification. (note: the Desire models come with air-con, so it never gets too hot... I hope this was helpful.

Cupboards take up too much space. I have have sink combined hob, water, gas cyl. waste, bed and space for loo that can be used at night without disturbing bed in my Berlingo. And still use both side doors.
