I am a pneumonectomy for over 14 years after successful surgery by him. I respect him very much due to his engagement with patients positively. I was ill last year and admitted in his care and I am good now. Big respect
I watched this interview without being distracted at all, because how Surgeon Dereje and loved how he spoke about Pro Asrat. Polite and servitude for the people of Ethiopia who has invested so much on all medical students . Huge respect for your service, dedication and wish you long life. From Down Under Vic Melbourne.
Dr. Dere!!!! Thank you for this interview. I truly believe that he’s a national treasure. I remember how difficult it was to discharge his parents from his surgical follow up clinic. They all wanted to come back to him due to his loving, kind, respectful and highly professional approach to medicine.

Hi Hakim Its great that you started this podcast and I have a suggestion how many people do you think will sit for an hour and half to watch this podcast personally I think it shouldn't be more than 30 min
How about the errors he has done over the years? As a family, we still hold him accountable for the death of our beloved sister some 20 years ago after a futile lung surgery.
surgery is not as easy as u think ,many will make it some will complicate , some may die , ..so having a surgery does not always mean the patient will make it Ato getachew
@orthodoxy-s8z I agree, Sir. but 1. She was told her case was fixable. 2. He did not meet and explain to the family what exactly caused the death. We tried to reach him but to no avail. >20 years ago, Drs were almost like a king and untaouchable.
