You do not have to be strong for Joe! I've worked with a lot of children supporting them through terminal illness. Officially it was the children that were my priority but very often it was the adults trying to be the strong one that needed me more. You love your mum in law too. When I was going through this when my dad was terminal, it was no less comforting when my husband was upset too. We all as a family felt the same way. Let Joe be there for you too and you'll both get through what you need to to support Sue. Your children will take their lead from you and if you are bottling it up to be brave fir Joe or them, they mightpick up that they have to be the same. Love and hugs ❤
