This win was against a swac team but auburn looked like everyone was on the same page. The game was shortened by 10 minutes and the backups were playing hard and looked good. Auburn should be able to get a win but it will come down to how much the line has really improved

I say Auburn starts off slowish in the first half, 17-7 halftime score. Peyton Thorne throws a tip INT and a touchdown to Coleman and jarquez hunter has a rushing TD. But in 2nd half Auburn wins 38-13. Auburn has 300 yards passing Thorne throws 3 TD passes and it’s a solid game rushing again.
Auburn does look like a good football team this year after the first 5 games if there 5 and 0 I think they run the table. War Eagle

Itll be hard for AU to keep good players from now on. Why take such a rough path to MAYBE being drafted, when you can "Nix" it, and go out west, pile up numbers, win more, have an overall better college experience, and then go on to lock in being a higher draft pick? And you can't blame a kid for making a business decision. (After Bo Nix's first start for Gus Malzahn against Oregon, I said then that he needed to catch the first flight out of Auburn at seasons end)
At best, a school like Auburn will keep these players for a year while they "pay their dues" so to speak. I can see all that. If you think college football is done changing you're in for a rude awakening. That portal didn't level the playing field for the small universities at all. It levelled the playing field for the athletes. It just made it easier for good players to get out of bad situations. You know, like being at a school where you have Alabama-level expectations but only auburn-level recruiting, so the expectations border on being delusional.

I feel the same way i did before. There's still a lot of improvement that needs to happen. First, get rid of thorne. Extremely inaccurate and inconsistent still. This game wasn't a game to worry about, but still we shouldn't be making dumb mistakes like we did. Maybe it IS because it was the first game and still butterflies and excitement, but you could tell auburn wasn't quite there. Hopefully it does get better every single week, but that just reminds me of harsin and it scares me. Lol I'm taking it week by week like we should and i won't listen to any of the false hype. Cal may win Saturday.
