Oh my goodness!!! Being a Field BIOLOGIST and having worked at a Lab to put myself through college, I have to tell you how ABSOLUTELY PERFECT your specimen labels are! I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about them! The verbiage, the Latin! The tamper tape seal! I love all of it! They’re near authentic...I love how unethical! 😂 You should see some of the labels on specimens I collected from the OR. Yikes. Or how they refer to the date of death of a human as...EXPIRATION DATE. Sooo, are you a chemist, or a crazy person? 😂 😉 JK! Bravo! You should be proud!
This is glorious! I love how dedicated you are to this project. Also, the sickly yellow flickering light behind the skeleton jar at the end really makes it special!
These are absolutely awesome. I worked in biology research for 8 years plus was a science technician in a high school so these kinds of jars really conjure up the smell of formalin! So many brilliant ideas and your labels are so creative and just brilliant . I also very much here for the coffee grinds (she says as she's drinking coffee at 10pm - LOL) :-) Definitely subscribing
Great ideas. Oh hint, to take off the label glue take some used cooking oil with equal amount of baking soda mix and then cover the glue and let sit for about 30 min. Then wash with soap and hot water. It has always worked for me.
Overall, holding up well! I have a few jars I made from 2019 with grow toys and the grow-sponges have expanded more and soaked up more water, but it doesn't detract from the desired aesthetic IMO. The other specimens have not changed as far as I can tell :)
@@DarkBlueSkys That is a good point! No visible mold, but I don't plan on opening the jars to quantitatively assess! For these jars, I used diluted bleach water, not sure if this is necessary, though.

Thank you so much!!
Amazing! Love your art and your ideas!
Fantastic! These look so great. I would only add a little tea stain to the labels. They look much newer than the rest of the bottle.
Thank-you for sharing how you did this. I think we'll be taking our inspiration from you for next Halloween!

Great video, love this ideas
Thank you so much - that means a lot to hear!
Fabulous! I love the labels and wax especially! Another aging option is glue and cinnamon. Makes it brown and crusty.
This is a great idea - I'll have to incorporate this technique!
@@nightcrafts4447 The added benefit is that it smells good! ☺️
Im impressed the jargong is spot on
Delightful! So happy to have found you! Subscribed and commencing binge watching now. Thank you for sharing!
I'm glad you found this channel - thank you for your support!!
You can use the inside of an old highlighter so the bottle will glow in the dark.
That's a great idea!
How are these holding up?

@@nightcrafts4447 Oh good! My brain was like “what if mold?”
