- Today I finally do a video which had been requested on every video for a while now! I got the cheapest fingerboard on Amazon and we're gonna see if it's any good! I got the board for $10 USD which is so crazy cause Tech Decks used to be more expensive than that ahhaah! Turns out the brand of this fingerboard is P-Rep by Broken Knuckle! I bought this Fingerboard off of Amazon around 3 weeks ago and at the time this WAS the cheapest fingerboard on Amazon! But today I went back on to Amazon to have a look and it appears there have been a few new listings for even cheaper fingerboards that weren't available at the time I bought this one! 5:21 the reason it was almost impossible to put the trucks on correctly is cus the base plates were not pre-threaded like tech deck trucks or BRTs so u have to force a screw into the trucks for the first time. The best way to thread the base plates is to add leverage too a longer screwdriver that fits the screws. Thank u for coming to my Ted talk

is this still a problem? i never assembled a fingerboard/tech deck before. i plan on getting one, it looks like it’s prebuilt. i guess i’ll see on January 6th.

@@aarovdhaubhadel4091 because counter tops have a coating on it so doesnt scratch. Also fingerboard wheels are flat and wont scratch a lot of things

I use that board 😂 the decks and wheels are hard but I got it down to the board tight and the wheels with small amount of room. It takes hand cramping time. But I love it.
I bought a $6 usd fingerboard and it works and feels like a pro fingerboard, metal trucks, rubber bushings, rubber tires, wooden deck, perfect grip. I guess it’s not that bad
Yep, the only thing I think makes a real difference are good quality wheels and the fingerboard's width. Other than that, paying USD$100 for a fingerboard is outright just for flexing.
I got a p-rep as my first actual fingerboard and it was pretty good

I really wanna get back to fingerboarding and i was always using tech decks, so i think this is a pretty cool fingerboard
The reason it was so bad is cause you got the 30mm one, prep makes 32 and 34s which actually have turntable trucks and the wheels are actually shaped
Yeah but shouldn't they still be what they advertised
Broken knuckle actually has really good trucks if on a budget. They look exactly like blackriver trucks and come with rubber bushings.
-but they aren't the same quality
yes, the 30-29mm ones are the ones with the plastic bushings but the 32-34 mm come with some rubber bushings and I´d say they are somewhat equivalent to blackriver or dynamic trucks, its like a more affordable version
first off don't judge me for rewatching these videos a year after this was published. I bought a p rep fingerboard because they were so cheap
and I got to say that it wasn't all that bad. pretty solid board that feels nice. maybe you just didn't get a good one, or amazon did you dirty. I bought mine off the broken knuckles website.

I bought this and swapped it with the newer tech deck trucks with rubber bushings and then go all the way down and the wheel have room and don’t wiggle at all so try that

I got a p-rep fingerboard for Christmas with a death decal and it is actually really good mine came with rubber band bushings and barring wheels
There’s spacers that come with it for the wheels and they don’t move if you put them on

I enjoy the p rep decks they're actually very sturdy and even come in 33 mm super nice for a starter can always upgrade parts for them

I don't know what happened with you but my first proper fingerboard was one of these and I had none of the assembly issues that you had. My trucks touch the deck and have rubber bushings. They are 'turnable' as it says on the package. I think you might have gotten the deck from P-rep and got the trucks and wheels from somewhere else because I payed ~25 Australian Dollars and got a perfect thing. none of the parts are very loose and it is fine. My experience is different to yours. It is great. P-rep stands for People's Republic.
This video was uploaded years ago and p-rep makes far better boards now then they did when this video came out. Also according to other comments only the 30mm deck is bad, the 32 and 34 mm ones have rubber bushings and shaped wheels.

P-rep decks are pretty decent for the price. Completes are okay, but as David showed, those bushings suck. My biggest complaint with the complete is that the wheels aren't very strong. Mine cracked and split from landing tricks a little hard here and there and they eventually fell off leaving only the bearings on the trucks... plastic tech deck wheels are stronger... 🤣

There is a fingerboard i found on amazon that was $3.99 us, trucks with no bushings (can’t turn), not centered trucks, cheap would, cheap fabric grip tape and cheap breakable plastic wheels.
