Not only did his advice work perfectly, the first time I tried it, I understood this video from the very beginning. I'd listened to another video from "professionals" and it was full of both confusing and contradictory info. ( I listend to it 28 times and never could match their advice with the actual unit.) This guy beats them all.
This only works if the seal between the head and the nut are loose enough. If it's tight you'll you'll spin the head while tightening the nut and end up about 90-180° off. You need to hold the head in place with a tool in order to get it lined up without guess work.
The part where you put the flat head screwdriver in, for my sprinklers the screwdriver goes all the way in deep and I can’t see or feel what to turn 🤷🏻♂️
I have this exact sprinkler head and it’s going in a 360° motion. I only want it 180° as it sits against a fence. This video did not address how to adjust to just a half circle.
You can buy rainbird 5000 that are 360 degree sprinkler head or you can adjust the back of the sprinkler with a flathead screwdriver by turning it towards the positive sign
If the sprinkler is behind the lawn edge curb, it is usually wise to have the sprinkler raised a bit to work with the curb and not ruin the rain curtain these rotors have
Literally the most simple explanation out there...thanks

Can I adjust how far forward it goes? Mine is spraying a tree in its pathway
Thank you
Only the 5000plis has the slip clutch. Old style is as it shows in video. Tested it today. Had to unscrew old style as shown in video. What a pain.
Just force it to the left til it’s where you want, turn to the right to find your right and add or take off angle if needed. Way simpler and faster
hello friend how much 5000 size cost

You have to physically move the base to set you left stopping point. Then use the screw to adjust right stop.
Need more detailed explanation for a non handyman. Please I would be very grateful

You may have a 360 degree sprinkler head. If so you would need to replace the whole sprinkler to one that is not a 360 degree.
👌
This works on the 32SA i imagine?
How u make it to go around all the time

Thanks ! I can do it by myself now. 😂😅
They don't seem to be in the ground deep enough though
I think because he’s trying to compensate for the curb

RUclips has its uses. Thanks

Easy to set the left when you can easily access it to unscrew it. Pain in the butt if you can’t.
