Too bad you don't have anything priced for the beginning, or portable DJ market. Everything you carry is priced at a business point. Only large companies or studios would be able to afford your product. I see that as a missed opportunity. Guess I'll stick with ADJ products.
Yeah, the pricing is laughably inaccessible to any mid to small size event producer. Got super excited to add a couple of these to our warehouse party backline until I saw the ridiculous price tag. I'll wait for a Chinese knockoff at
The quality is in the glass and led tech, and you get what you pay for, those Chinese knock offs don't do an ounce of Justice to the real thing! Now if quality is something that doesn't matter for your show, then sure go ahead.
You say that but the 20 solaframe 2000 spots I have seem to have way more issues than the cheap chauvet rogue2 spots I have. Of course there’s more functionality with the solaframes, but they constantly have issues.
you are so right CP products are out of djs small ent. co. buget.. :,(
This is the ancient battle between quality, reliability vs price, number of fixtures purchased.
Clay paky has a reputation of 30y, from back when scans were 0-10V controlled. Clay paky or High-end for that matter have always been considered the top products. They don't fail. Clubs and rental companies have always used them.
I've worked for a club that used Martin as a lighting partner. It was the biggest club in Europe. 3x1500KVA power supply. 144xmac250, 64x Mac500, 80x812scan, 8×1220scan, we even had 4 PAL1200s.
There was a team of 4 full time engineers and 2 of them were constantly repairing fixtures 40h a week, whilst the other 2 would start up the Hog locate the faulty fixtures from the list the LJ made. Build scaffoldings on the arena style dancefloor Get them of the trusses, get them to the 5th floor with the elevator and re-install the ones repaired. That's what you get if buy cheap. You need more smoke, which equals more damage to fixtures, especially when the venue is airconditioned. You don't win buying budget class. You'll only find out later if you use them 12nights a year.
