fun fact! helldivers 2 and deep rock galactic are both very simaler games they care about fun little to no buying after you get the game you both dive down and kill bugs and bots while compleating a main objective and there are things you dont need to colect but can be used to do things
The fact that the core spawn are from deeper inside the planet and that theyre going to be an element of Rogue Core makes me think alot about Hoxxes. Maybe we have been fooled into thinking that the glyphids were the natives of the planet. Maybe they're just as invasive as us, and that the true natural life on this god forsaken rock is that much more twisted than we thought.
Or maybe we are and core stone crawlers are just another species of glyphids living deeper down in hoxxes. What if these crawlers are the spawn of a fully developed Dreadnought
@randomshitpost8477 in game description says that they share no genetic relationship with any other creature on the planet so sadly that isn't possible.
If you think about it, it’s was always perplexing that the Glyphids (and Macteras and Q’ronars, etc.) where such a violent and warlike species when they’re the only predators around, there’s no herbivore species in Hoxxes that would justify the need to evolve into Dreadnaughts, and there’s no way that this species had undergone massive evolution changes ONLY for the dwarves, so my guess is that they’re not actually evolved to fight us but *what’s lying further deep into the planet*
There are implications that there's something Lovectaftian deeper down. There's also suggestions that other companies tried mining Hoxis that failed until DRG got it right with the dwarves. The crawlers look humanoid and have no genetic relationship with other known life on the planet. I think the crawlers were once humanoids that dug deeper to bypass the bugs, and something happened to them. Whatever we're seeing is descended from those poor bastards abandoned at the core.
dude.. 34:27 - when the synth kicks in, I get HEAVY Metroid vibes; I could absolutely see this music working wonders on Omega Pirate (Boss Fight) from Prime 1, Amorbis from Prime 2, and Ghor from Prime 3
@@kalel4everr Its not, Engineer is the default voice. The other classes are pitched; Scout's the highest and Driller's the lowest. They all share the same VA
The Core Stone's theme really sells the feeling of dread, like you've woken up a threat more unknowable and more dangerous then anything the Glyphids could even dream of being. And this is a TEASER for what is at the core; it feels like we're opening Pandora's Box and I am both excited and terrified for Rogue Core
19:10 something tells me that we haven’t seen the last of the rockpox, especially since that was just one rogue comet, plus let us never forget that space rig 5 was destroyed by a rockpox meteoroid during season 4, plus who knows how many corrupters are still on the planet, and what’s to say that more rockpox comets are out there
Sounds more like a diegetic explanation for why you can still encounter lithophage meteorites during S5 missions. Or why you can still play S3/4 content.
After hearing the season briefing I realized that the main purpose of drg is to mine morkite, with two, now three missions having us mine or extract it, two with secondary resources (aquarq and ommoran heartstone), and others being maintenance (recover a drop pod, destroy dreadnoughts, rivals or rockpox and collect eggs as a food source) and with morkite seeds now appearing and potentially being a safer and easier source of morkite, drg may eventually stop mining on Hoxxes because aquarq, heartstone and other side resources probably aren`t worth the whole operation
It's unclear if the eggs are a food source, as they're not glyphid eggs - the swarmer eggs in some missions and now this glyphid egg secondary objective show well that the alien eggs, which the laser pointer lists as 'unidentified', are not glyphids - but the screen on the rig specifically says the omelets glyphid ones. It might be something more like the dreadnoughts, where it's simply easier to harvest the eggs as they're laid than it is to let them hatch into whatever they hatch into. Like elimination missions, they have both a focus on getting every last one and all show up on the scanner, as opposed to an otherwise similar base concept such as aquarqs. The company being here first and foremost for mining definitely does show well, though, that is quite true.
I doubt they would stop mining it because it's so rich in the other rare minerals like holomite, jadiz, phazyonite, etc. Also the fact that a major rival mining corporation (filthy tree lovers) has a very vested interest in the planet as well, it's safe to assume that Hoxxes IV is an extremely rich planet in galactic standards.
@@urgo224 According to the posters in the Memorial Hall and the original trailers, it's the richest mine ever discovered. Just also the most dangerous ecosystem ever discovered.
Glyphid eggs as a side mission huh? They REALLY dont want us to see that last stage of a dreadnought's life cycle. Explanation, they have add one more way to explain how the dwarves keep above glyphid eggs's growth and prevent a fully grown dreadnaughts from forming. Tbh, they have actually stated they would never add such a thing to the game so yeah. You want evolution in enemy bugs? Helldivers 2 is doing that in the future.
I guess some modders could try and add a Full-grown Dreadnought fight as a separate mission. Of course it's gonna be a Sandbox mod BUT... imagine the possibilities.
Fully developed dreadnaughts probably have armor that can`t be penetrated by weapons, maybe some had finished the cycle and were killed using nukes or something
@@retey8982 oh yeah because the only dreadnought that we can actually damage are the underdeveloped twins, everybody else has some form of invulnerability so it makes sense to need full-size nukes.
I'm surprised Helldivers is going to lengths to straight up nuke entire planets. But it also just plain makes sense after beating Defender 2002 to destroy a bug filled planet.
The core stone theme almost reminds me of Dead By Daylight's theme in a way, and so does the event itself. I love the atmosphere of horror somewhat being introduced into DRG, and I definitely wanna see more.
Nah, I think there'll be a "chemical difference" in morkite from morkite seed farms compared to solid morkite veins and liquids found straight from Hoxxes.
(Spoilers for the old 2023 Rouge Core trailer if you’ve been avoiding it for some reason or another) Rouge Core takes places after Season 05 and we know all the deeper mining sites get cut off and become unusable, at least until or if Rouge Core‘s storyline gets resolved. So I think we know the Morkite Seeds won’t work out as management hopes.
Season 6 will finally add water to game just so the dwarves can complete the korok‘s little fairy pond puzzles and get the little tree huggers out of hiding.
The appearance of the corespawn (and the whole concept of Rogue Core being the planet rebelling against our efforts) gives me the impression that they're more reactive as a force - and potentially intelligently directed - than the glyphids and other surface species of Hoxxes are, which might be the reason for the chanting in the track. It's fitting that it is so different from the rest of the music, being that this is a completely new threat that we know will prove to be more than we can handle in the future.
Does it fit the other DRG music? Maybe not entirely Does it have the vibe of 4 badass space dwarves fighting for their lives against freaky body-horror aliens deep underground? hell yeah
Well it doesn’t fit or sound similar because the person that wrote all the other drg music left for other projects so I think this is from a new composer
