the opcode for all r-type instructions are the same so the only way to differentiate the different instructions would be to use the last 6 bits as function code.
@@orjen1965 thanks a lot. I passed the lesson with AA, there is only 2 AA's in class. I guess main reason of me not understanding is because we didn't learn instructions that deeply.

At 28:30 why do we even need the funct in the first place? It makes no sense to me, why doesn't Control send the add command already?
