@ ok it wasn’t the whole of the country I exaggerated , just because like 4 million people couldn’t watch it doesn’t reflect poorly on out country dude. Like how do you get that when you aren’t taking into any other info about my country
All the fights before Tyson and Paul were much more intense. If it hadn’t been for those two fights, the event would’ve been a total loss imo. And they did a piss poor job with the broadcast too. Not even the rest of the app would load. I tried watching DanDaDan or Cobra Kai seeing if that would fix it but even that couldn’t 😂🤣
See, and that's 1 o them things the average normie viewer was ignorant of. I found out about the fight last minute before the stream went live. I haven't kept up with Mike Tyson, jus knew he was still around. Like Shaq, or Michael Jordon. So when I got told he was coming outta retirement, the natural response was to make a few positive assumptions. Maybe the info was covered during NFs stream, but given how frequently the servers F'ed up, I'd be surprised if anyone who didn't know, managed to find out during. I certainly didn't.
@ytsuxmuhd4998 yeah the thing It was rumored with him coming out of a hospital in a wheelchair and Mike Tyson confirmed it after the fight yesterday on Twitter that basically something went horriblely wrong during training.
Everyone can agree tho: the Taylor & Serrano fight was fucking incredible. I logged into my account on 📺 in the break room at work and we were all just losing our shit
It's genuinely fascinating that so many people (myself included) deluded themselves into thinking there was a chance Mike Tyson could win this. It really goes to show how powerful wishful thinking can be.
Some people like me aren’t into this stuff and the hype won us over, not to mention Jake has a trash form and even I could see that Mike could’ve and should’ve won this age aside, this was a fixed fight and no one won this cuz if it
@@ninjanibba4259nah, from what I can see most people who are into boxing aren't remotely surprised by the results. I hate the Pauls as much as everyone else but credit where credit is due, Jake seems to take boxing seriously. And think about it for a second, if they were going to fix it they'd obviously fix it against Jake, literally everybody was routing for Tyson.
It’s easier to scam someone than convince them they’ve been scammed. Even now, people think the fight was rigged but somehow forgot Mike retired 20 yrs ago after getting destroyed by 2 no name boxers when he was only 38
@@ninjanibba4259yea tbh even if tyson couldnt beat him in a boxing match id bet he could in a real fight just from muscle memory and being a better fighter and all that

Anyone that thought that Tyson stood a chance is a fool and doesn't know anything about combat sports. Also, Tyson coming back is a short term boon for the sport but its also terrible for the future of the sports because they didn't make any new stars with this card.
well, I thought maybe since Paul is essentially an amateur and a blown up light heavyweight....Yeah I didn't put any money down or anything and in the end chose not to watch the fight, but I was ready to trash talk if Tyson had won.
I could be wrong but I heard there was 120 million people watching this fight. Imagine having 120 million people watching a live event on your streaming service. Netflix has never done anything like this before. Idk not trying to give them an excuse but yea that’s a reason why they prolly couldn’t handle the viewership.
I believe Roy Jones called it right when he obseved the condition of Mike Tyson's legs. I believe that was the real game changer. Mobility is crucial in any sport.
Tyson made $20M, I don't think he cared how he looked. The best thing that happened that night was Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano, those two women brought a fight! The buffering and cutting out was horrible, I turned it off shortly after it began and watched it the next day.
Netflix seems to bank too much on 80s/90s nostalgia from Stranger Things, Cobra Kai, Wednesday, series on OJ, Jeffrey Dahmer, Menendez Bros. to The Last Dance and now Mike Tyson.
Glad Mike made money but let’s be honest Jake should feel ashamed of himself and his whole family should be ashamed of him for literally beating up an old man with CTE. I have zero respect for him and the athletic commission for making this happen.
Hehe yeah boxing is the absolute Wild West of sports in terms of who is in it, who is involved in it and how absolutely anyone off the streets can get involved. I love the sport, been apart of it since I was 6. we had our biggest event in years back in may with the Undisputed heavyweight championship of the world fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury which was a amazing fight and event. And it saddens me that people in the states (where boxing has dwindled tremendously compared to the rest of the world) only hear of and get behind the circus act events. It’s a bit despondent honestly. There was a brutal fight last night between two Cruiserweight champs (actual professionals who would knock the head off Jake Paul at his weight) and they won’t ever get half the eyes or money that was made by Jake and Mike. But that’s the buisness of boxing. It’s equal part carnival and poor boys sport
Tyson went the distance with plenty of guys in his prime. A fair amount anyway. As much as he was known for his power, it was as much his hand speed and footwork that would allow him to close the gap with taller fighters. He just didn't have that Saturday night, or the fight was as pre-determined as his fight with Bruce Seldon. And Rocky fought Dixon, who was the champ at the time, not a RUclipsr. At least Netflix isn't Don King and might actually let Tyson keep most of his purse this time around.
I do believe Mike Tyson did not try his hardest because of his medical scare only 4 months ago. That’s not normal, his blood count isn’t even back to normal for 9 months so he went in 5 months earlier
This whole throwing a fight thing is disgraceful. My ten-year-old was so excited to see Mike Tyson and walked out mid fight. I guess the money was more important than the legacy. Whatever..
Not trying to be horrible or anything but you're so brilliant at covering movies and series. This sort of stuff, well, you're better than. That is ofcourse u less you are just covering it as a one off
This was just a very weird and boring fight cause it really felt like mike was holding back a lot and not only that for some reason he kept on biting his gloves also apparently a script for the fight got leaked but if it wasn't staged then all I can say is for the age mike is at he did an amazing job he made it through all 8 rounds and occasionally delivered some decent blows to jake and another thing I noticed is that jake actually looked more tired than mike.
Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson was a sorry excuse of a fight. I can’t believe me and my friends waited 3 hours to watch this disgrace. Waste of time and energy.
Im sorry but netflix only deems success by viewership numbers, and the viewership numbers were astronomical. This is a huge win for netflix, as for the poor production, it was their first rodeo, theyll learn from the mistakes and go again. I'll never criticise someone for going out of their comfort zone for the first time like netflix has here

I have been boxing for 30 years. Started when I was 18. People that fight and understand the fight game knew that Mike wasn't going to win. Simply because his age and lack of stamina due to this. You can't just come off the couch and fight after 20 years and expect the guy to win. He had no chance. And the Paul kid is actually pretty good. He's actually been fighting for 4 years and he's a pretty decent boxer. Nowhere near where he hypes himself up to be but he's a solid boxer. I'm just glad Tyson didn't get knocked out or hurt. And hey, he's 20 million richer now. Good for him.
Can we all be honest and open about that it was all ascript. I mean even the script got leaked, If this was a real fight Mike could have beat the crap out of Jake. But it was staged. It was all for money.
This negative attitude is crazy. That fight was awesome, one of the top 5 boxing matches I have ever seen in my entire life. Jake Paul, and Tyson, are national treasures, great people, and both top 5 boxers of all time.
None of us paid for that… we all got a free EVENT on the same app we already watch every night. idk I had a fun night 😄. And if Mike is big enough of a legend that somebody will cut him a check in the millions for a sparring match, more power to him.
1) Very true. And a perspective many of us are missing. 2) BUT the stream quality was terrible. We didn't pay specifically for the event. But we do pay for Netflix on the assumption they can stream things properly. And they failed at having a quality stream.
I'm honestly surprised how many people were excited for this from the moment it was announced I was like well I don't wanna watch a twenty something beat up a sixty year old
In my country Netflix crashed right before the fight and the entire of South Africa has been furious the entire day
Yes bro I tried to watch out of morbid curiosity but Netflix just wouldn't work
It crashed In the US too. I stayed off social media and just watched 30 minutes later
It was lousy in the U.S. I suspect Netflix will end up losing more subs than they gained outta this.
