Wow...'Alycidon' made the Station look much brighter as She pulled in.....She looks brand new in Her Paint.....awesome sight and sounds....Well done Allan....Best wishes...Steve.-:)
Just eye watering spectacular footage! Nothing shall ever be finer than the wonder of these amazing locomotives from the days of my engine bashing years!
+SOfar SOgood Many thanks for watching and commenting. I have great memories of standing in the same spot 50 years ago watching the Deltics and you just never tire of that sound that was once an every day event on the East Coast main line. Amazing locomotives as you so rightly say. Best wishes - Allan.
great to see the best ever cl;ass of loco back on its stomping ground which it totaly owns, looking good , much better in blue, great vid allan, thanks
+wattass7 Yes great nostalgic memories of my teenage years in the 60s and 70s seeing 10 or 12 a day at the Central Station on regular main line services. Best wishes - Allan.
+Trevor Ledgeway Thank you very much Trevor. A bit of a mash up with coaches there and not very pleasing to the eye. Same again following day like you say. Regards - Allan.
+Anthony Cooper Thanks Anthony, your comments are much appreciated. These Deltic give me flashbacks to my youth when I spent hours on Newcastle Central every Saturday. The sound ignites those lovely memories. Regards - Allan.
very nice Alycidon does look well must admit I prefer green you are right about the coaching stock bit of a mix up I saw them on the Maybach Yorky the blue Pullman 3278 looks a bit out of place would look better if they were all that livery! cheers Colin
+447CDH Yes prefer the two tone green too Colin but the paint finish on this is first class. Bit of a mic with the coaches which spoils it a bit. Good video and excellent viewing. Cheers - Allan.
I saw Alicydon at York in the Yard must admit they have done a great job let's hope when Tulyar eventually gets finished she will come out of Barrowhill looking just as good
When i went to Newcastle, i was hoping to see all those diamond crossings they once had, but it's all been modernised, so no more famous diamond crossings!
Thanks for watching the video. Yes unfortunately the large diamond crossing is no more. The former platforms 1, 2, 3 and 4 were turned into the station car park and the need for a crossing point into those disappeared together with other track alignments that took place quite a few years ago. Regards - Allan.
+DannyB16100 Thanks for watching Danny, I am pleased you like it. Not sure why station lights come on in daylight. Mind you it can get gloomy in there on an overcast day. Cheers - Allan.

+447CDH Yes prefer the two tone green too but the paint finish on this is truly superb. 10 of those blue Pullman coaches would have been something if there was any about I agree. Hope you enjoyed seeing the Western on Sunday Colin. Never got out for that unfortunately. Cheers - Allan.

+Mark A H HD Videostreaming Thanks very much for viewing. Best wishes - Allan.
Driver didn't even sound the horn for the few waiting enthusiasts. How very unimaginative of him.

Nice vid.I seen her at speed at Ferryhill
+rhys pearson Thanks very much Rhys. Much appreciate your comments. Cheers - Allan.
When did D9009 get repainted
It must be nearly 2 years ago now I think. Allan.
So that's what it looked like from that side, nice one Allan pity about the dreadful rake of coaches, deserved better.
+Andy Thorne Yes a view from the Dark Side Andy. :-) The rake of coaches was disappointing wasn't it. Didn't do justice to the Deltic. Cheers - Allan.

Get Carter !
Driver Keith " Bucknut " Buckley taking her forward from Newcastle . A proper dodge pot !!!!!! Lol
Lol. Thanks very much for watching Anthony. Cheers - Allan :-)
Lovely video. Why are the station lights on in the daytime?? What a waste of money and environmental inpact!!
+DannyB16100 Thanks for watching Danny, I am pleased you like it. Not sure why station lights come on in daylight. Mind you it can get gloomy in there on an overcast day. Cheers - Allan.
Yes great to see some Deltic action. Let's hope there switched off when it's not gloomy and when light.
