    I wish I had someone that told me this things you teaching him when I was learning to play the trumpet, now I’m saying “ oh that’s how you do it “ after so many years of frustration 😃 certainly you were born to do this great trumpet playing, God bless !!!!

      The truth is that Adam had to develop his systme of playing WHILE ON TOUR with Blast. He realized he wasn't gonna make it past 50 playing what he could play the way he was doing it.

      I had the worst band director in 4th and 5th grade, and it took me like a year and a half of bad tone to hit the C that he's hitting.

    Wish I had a nice pro trumpet like the one he is starting on. I had a cheap student rental that was probably a lot harder to blow. Oh well, I finally got some great horns.

    • @da11king

      It's not the horn, it's the individual

    • @papabear4040
      @papabear4040 3 года назад

      @@da11king Yeah, the player certainly makes the difference. The biggest handicap I had was no teachers ever had me try different mouthpieces. They all had me stuck on a 10.5 C for years. I finally got a 1.5 C and what a difference. Not all pro horns blow the same either. I found a horn that lets me blow double Gs above the staff without any effort. Wow!

  • @ちっきーん
    @ちっきーん 6 лет назад +1

    I'd like to ask somebody a question.Why do we take in and out such a powerful breath? I play Tenor saxophone and I tried to exhale following what Adam says,but didn't make it because a breath was pushed back in the mouth.hard to breathing.

    • @willcochran5555
      @willcochran5555 6 лет назад

      Claude delangle that has to do with resistance. The blowback on a tenor saxophone is much different than a trumpet, and that resistance differs even more when we move around the ranges of both instruments.

    • @ちっきーん
      @ちっきーん 5 лет назад

      Will Cochran Yes, resistance of tenorsax is just what I'm in trouble for. Because of that resistance, I feel clogged and couldn't sound enough.

    • @lotustrumpets6739
      @lotustrumpets6739  2 года назад

      The fact that a sax is a reed instrument and has it "holes" covered by cloth pads = it simply isn't an apples to apples comparison. Both come from a tree, just not the same type.

One of the perks of being a small company owned by players is that we get it....gotta manage the finances with care. • @loveleyday
      @loveleyday 6 лет назад +1

      I think these are Adam's own Lotus brand of trumpets. In this vid, Adam has a four-valve, but the fourth valve is hidden at the first slide, and the tubing wraps around underneath the valve block. This vid has more:
