Hailed as the world's largest Hindu temple outside India “in the modern era”, the Akshardham temple has been built by the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham organisation. I visited it some days ago. What an environment !!! So much positive energy out there. This magnificent mandir will get inaugurated on 8th oct 2023. It will have deities like Sita-Ram, Radha-Krishna, Shiv-Parvati, Laxmi-Narayan, Swaminarayan, Many other incarnations, Hrishis and devotees. It really is marvelous.

For many who are confused, This isnt being built by the government but mostly of native born hindu americans and migrated people from india. Usa has a significant sized indian population especially in the north east where many of the prominent universities are. So mostly rich hindus. But it is all being built tax free cause religious organizations are exempt from paying taxes.

Because of his teaching i learn about shri Krishna..
Every one should read shikhapatri written by swaminarayan himself..
And also vanchamrut...
He beautifully discribe The supremacy of lord krishna and bhagwat puran in his one and only book shikhapatri..
Others books of this sapraday written after him.. so i avoided..but this two books are most authentic and beautiful..
They weren’t written after most were written with him still alive. Example yam dand and early manuscripts of bhaktachintamani then like sati Gita and other theological texts

Love all the intricate, hand-made carvings. Christian cathedrals used to be made in a similar style, but the practice faded after the Middle Ages. This is an exquisitely beautiful temple, which reflects the faith and devotion of the people who built it. This, to me, is what freedom of religion is all about. I'd love to visit someday.
