I believe you would shut off sov 2 first in order to guarantee pressure is maintained in the dc. If there is demand downstream then shutting off #1 first might cause the dc to drain.
Yes, per the USC 10th, you shut #2 shutoff and then #1 shutoff .. not sure if the video shows something different, but the 10th edition procedures have it in that order. Sorry for the confusion
Do you know how to test with a water column?? I’m not sure what’s it called, but you have to test With no gauge. Using a 27” 3/4 tube measuring from your reference tube.
If you click around on our website, there is a link at the bottom of the page to the LA county test book, we also give them out at the classes, but yes there’s steps there. Watts makes a water column thing or you can make your own I guess, I assume you are asking because of LA County’s test ? They are the only ones I am aware of that uses it. @@thebackflowbro6864 Yessss! I’m taking the classes now. Once I am done, I wanna do the LA county test since it’s my local one. I wanna prepare for it ahead of time since LA is the only one doing the tube test. Thank you so much for the information.
Yeah it’s one of those things .. I left in so people would notice it .. it’s a good example of an error that “wouldn’t effect the results of the test” per ABPA so the proctor wouldn’t likely fail you for it, but yeah just an error when filming but left it in for that reason.

Disliked video due to in the video during test #1. Tester closed #1 shut off valve first, then closed #2 shut off valve. That is incorrect procedure
