I had to make my own window design for my archery blind. The ones on sale for this application are so damn noisy and cumbersome to use. 1/4" acrylic 12" x 30" tall. Mounted on three hinges with two sliding wood locks. The glass is in a recessed cut in the window frame. In the recess is strips of flexible window seal tubing from the lumber yard. Bug and water tight. Opens with one hand and swings back open and out the way. I made one slider in a wooden track that can be opened to whatever to allow controlled air flow for heater. Three swinging and one slider. The blind sits on top of a 12 ft high platform exactly 25 yards from a feeder. Beautiful set up IMO. Good Luck to everyone hunting. And remember, it's your hunt- don't be influenced by others opinions on what kill. Go hunt!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more. Got a doe Friday with the crossbow. Sounds like you got sweet setup. Good luck this season.

Lickrun Outdoors nice. Love that doe meat.Talking about you using a crossbowI made in jr, high shop class in 1964. The limb was a cut down car leaf spring. Had to use a lever type cocking device. That thing would shoot a 1/4" steel rod right through a cinder block and the wooden fence. Dad wasn't real pleased about the busted fence slat. That thing was super dangerouslol

Sounds like it would shoot 100 yards. 😂 Yeah I never have bow hunted. That was my first deer with a bow. Normally start hunting when early muzzleloader comes in next weekend. Got off early Friday from work to give it a go, and it paid off. Lot of fun. May have to start doing it every year. Takes the pressure off when you know you got some meat in the freezer.

Did you install new window board to inside of old window and caulk around the board ? Will you paint the naked board or let it “weather”?

Yes. We cut out new t1-11 siding to fill the hole of the old window, and caulked around it to seal. Then installed these new deer view windows. All t1-11 siding has been stained since we did this video.

Not sure if I like the top lock. Ever think of cabinet drawe magnets. That's what i use.

Yeah that could be done easily. Worked with what we had to get them in. It's been fine with just the top lock, and easy to use, but I can see using magnets to make it better.

Looks like you may be getting some water in, due to design of frameless window.
    Sweet blind.

No, haven't got any water in. The only issue we need to work on is frost on a cold morning. Once we get that fixed, then we can leave all the windows closed until shooting time.
