Jesse B Motors ah another stampede owner.. 👍 I’ll check you out mate, feel free to check mine out I did a speed run with my stampede the video is on my channel.. I think I’ll get one of these too, better then using a phone, less risky lol
I bought that GPS unit for the same reason as you. So far I’ve only tested it out in my actual car. I find it underestimates a bit compared to my cars speedometer (5% low) I want to try it on some drones/quadcopters. Too bad it doesn’t show max altitude like the more expensive skyrc unit. Overall I think it’s pretty good. I’ll probably buy another one for my bike.
I tried it in my car as well and noticed there was a bit of a lag but for rc testing I don’t think the lag matters. Max altitude would be nice but no complaints the price was right. Cheers 🍻
Hey Ryan yeah it can be a bit to figure out because the instructions kind of suck. I have a video I just posted on my Facebook showing how to reset the speed. facebook.com/VanCityRC/
@@Van_City thanks mate, I just managed to find one for £20 mate so I'll order it at the end of the month 👍 This will be awesome for my typhon 6s I'm hoping to get it close to 90mph.😁
I seen these in one of the rc groups last week, might buy one as a spare if the price is right in AU$ I already have a decent one that was very cheap compared to the skyrc ones and has been a very durable, accurate and reliable unit. Does the altimeter work? Also there was some question in the facebook rc group thread whether this speedometer was able to show 3 digits over 99? cheers for sharing Dan👍
PERTH WEST OZ RC I’m not sure about 3 digits, I did have it in the truck but only was driving 70kph. I’ll bring it with me tomorrow and let you know if it’s able to hit 3 digits. And the altimeter does work but it only shows current altitude I don’t believe it saves altitude info.
@@Van_City that would be good Dan, cause on Facebook a few people were talking it only goes to 99kph.. I may still buy one as a spare if I can find one cheap enough in my coin
Honestly didn’t know time could be set on these or if they even kept time. If they do you’ll need to hit the small button on the back after you power it on to enter into the setup.
I was just looking at this thing on eBay wondering if it would be suitable for my RC speed runs. And your video has confirmed it. Very helpful 👍👍👍
It’s great for the price, perfect size to mount to an RC 👍💯💥
That little GPS speedmeter is so useful in every RC.
There’s been a few guys who have purchased it since I first showcased it and each one of them including myself think it’s great
Thanks for having my channel as the feature👍. I really need a gps. I want to see how fast our stampedes are.
Your welcome you have a good channel 👍🏻. If you need a gps look into this one it is definitely worth it.
Cheers 🍻

VAN CITY RC I am happy as well. It works good for the price.
@@gimpman1357 just bought one...thanks for your comment elsewhere. peace bro

Heshad's RC thanks for stopping by
This is a great alternative to the Sky Rc thanks for sharing, it will be great on the ebike as well👍👍👍
Steve B it’s a great little unit. 👍👌
This great review! Imma go on this route for now. Going to use on infraction first speed run ..
KaniZ RC thanks, it’s a great budget gps. I just did a run with it attached to one of my drones this morning. 👍
Cheers 🍻
I just picked this up. David told me they can be flaky. I'm trying to figure out how to work it so watching your video.

@@Van_City thanks so much Dan!! I finally got it working and right now it's charging.
@@RDsRCReviews Perfect it’s been a reliable one for me several guys are using it now
Hello mate, awesome this definitely looks like a good low budget option, I will look and see if I can find one shipped to me, your a star..👍
MarcRCAddict I’m sure you’ll find one it was shipped out of China. 👍🏻
Cheers Buddy

RC ModSquad
yeah it’s working great for me
Cheers 🍻
VAN CITY RC I just ordered one. I needed a spare but maybe my old one will be the spare. 😉
Thats crazy how this original one is a heap quicker than the new 18858 that i have, 7kph is quite a bit more
I know it doesn’t make sense.
Nice video, was this an 20c Lipo? And will a higher c number work?
I used a 30c and a 50c Lipo. They are aftermarket batteries so the labels are not always correct and tend to be misleading
@@Van_City nevertheless, great test.
Haven't seen such a test about all 1/18 HBX cars (Ratchet, Rampage or Hailstorm).
Thank you for this test 👍🏻
Eduard van der Weide thanks buddy appreciate it
Cheers 🍻
How did you mount it on the spoiler? Double sided Velcro tape?
I used zip ties

Also if it only goes to 99kph you are able to switch to mph (imperial) and if that goes to 99mph it would be 160kph
@@Van_City nice good to know, but I thanks Dan
Hi Dear, I love your review. I am searching a GPS for my Bike this is a good velocimeter? I go to visit the Canada a day.
This is a great budget GPS made for a Bike 👍
If you visit Canada you will love it so much natural beauty
Man, I just got one of these. Can't figure out how to set the time zone, I'm in mountain standard !
Honestly didn’t know time could be set on these or if they even kept time. If they do you’ll need to hit the small button on the back after you power it on to enter into the setup.
Can this be used in a fixed wing RC ?
I’m sure it can. It’s not heavy
@@Van_City thanks
Can it read (mph) as well ?
Chuy Dog yes it can read both KPH or MPH
Thank you so much for your help. can't wait for mine to get here
I have the same GPS cant seem to zero out the Max?
Hey buddy I posted a video on my Facebook for you showing how I reset the max speed. Hope that helps.

Not gonna lie that rc is slow AF my guy 😂 otherwise thanks for the vid
Yeah it’s not the quickest that’s for sure
@@Van_City I'm hoping it will track a 200kph racing quad
@@AuBo97 I’d also be interested in seeing if it could. 😲
@@Van_City I'll get back to you later in the day tomorrow
