They are on what I call the "Band Maid Track" Small venues with "Meet and Greet" building a name and fan base. They are succeeding. Next, major festival with prime time play time. Who else enjoys watching Rumi's videos?!
Hi guys, thanks for giving RQ another look. I saw them in Sydney a few months ago, and they rocked the roof off! They'll be in London on 17th January, well worth catching the show if you can, their live performance is top notch. They then play Europe, Canada and multiple cities in the US, so 2025 will be a big year for them. When you consider that K-Rock is a fledgling genre compared with the K-Pop juggernaut, the girls are doing really well.
Hi, thanks for the reaction. I also saw them in Sydney, they are fire on stage. One fact you (and all of their fan base) must realise, they are indie not idol, they are trying to make a living by doing what they love: playing rock. Pushing rock in the birth place of K-pop, where rock is almost completely dead is not a rewarding experience, going much harder would be suicidal. They tried with Victory, Ja Young had to cop a huge amount of online crticism for that attempt.
Well, they have the potential to attract the entire metal community outside of Korea. If they break the chains that keep them being connected to K-POP. They actually have the eyes of festivals like Wacken Open Air, Sweden Rock, Hellfest and more upon them. The ONLY argument from at least one of those festivals are that RQ might be too "soft" in too many songs to be ready for 45 minutes there. They can find the support they need outside of Korea.
Yes, I think they are on the right track. They need to gain a reputation in the international market. So does Lovebites.👍(By the way, Jayoung and Arem were at Lovebites' concert this August in Seoul.😀
I did enjoy your reaction. Please don’t wait 9 months again for the next RQ song ! They have different tasty flavors in their repertoire !
❤🇫🇷🤘🏻

This band could be really big in the world of metal IF they would be able to get away from the K-POP connection.
