great video, once again doing great work for all of us. i'm dealing with discrimination at work, but my medical leave process has also been absolutely horrible. Thank you again for always giving valuable information on this forum. You've helped me feel validated in feeling cheated lately, and I appreciate it.

This sounds exactly like my situation. They also didn't seem to understand intermittent FMLA either based on their email to me. ❤❤❤

This is happening to me and my employer denied my request to take care of my Father who has heart and kidney issues. My employer also did not allow me to take off early to take care of my severely painful toothache. I went a week later and had a massive infection which was causing the pain. The company only has less then 25 employees. My employer told me that FMLA is only for companies with more then 50 employees.

Sorry you are going through this. I think your best course of action would be to find better employment as soon as you are able. A place that doesn't care about you isn't worth putting your effort into. Just because they aren't legally required to help you in your time of need doesn't mean they aren't morally obligated to someone who has been a loyal employee for them. If they are asking what they have to do instead of what they should do, that employer is trash. Leave them like the trash they are.
I worked for a small business for 17 years. Certain people took off 6 months at a time with pay for having a baby or medical problems. Others, like me, got chewed out for taking a few days off. My wife worked there, too. After having our baby, she was back at work three days later. The business owner's kid took off six months around the same time, with pay, with a company provided car. Meanwhile people weren't getting raises for years. No way am I supporting that with my work and my loyalty.

Hey Vince!!…Congratulations on the channels growth. So I have a case that is currently making its way through the EEOC process to litigation. We filed suit in federal court two months ago and now the defendants are requesting a settlement conference before we even get to the first mediation, how serious should I think they are going to be in this meeting considering they haven’t heard all the facts of the case.
My second question is what if I don’t trust the EEOC lawyer who is handling my case?..I ask this because he has never mentioned anything about money in the four months that I have been working with him and I’ve heard that EEOC doesn’t usually focus so on getting the lost money possible.

Could denial of FMLA amid ongoing EEO litigation also be a retaliation claim?

Can I ask my lawyer not to drop me as a client?
I am being told I am being dropped and have a phone call scheduled with the lawyer and a Judge on Tuesday.
If I had only watched your videos on how to chose the right lawyer before choosing this one.
I feel like he has ruined my case on purpose and has been working for the other side the whole time even going so far as telling me not to go to the law about the crimes committed against me the date of my termination.

Happened to me. My union did not require them to use the DOL forms as required by the cba's.
I did not receive my rights and responsibility or eligibility notice until 3 months after i requested FMLA.
What is my recourse against the union. I missed the filing dates to the union oversight committee.
    Thanks

How much information is too much of a request for intermittent fmla leave? My wife's employer keeps asking for more and more detail from the doctor, he's fully filled up the explanation areas and they're still wanting more information.

Im going through a similar thing. My jobs third party company denied me FMLA for my father who has been sick for weeks. I was told that he had to reside in the same household as me so i had no other recourse but to put in my notice. 8 days later, I was informed that I would have been eligible to take time off but since I put in my notice, they cant guarnatee my same job back if I take leave. The sad thing is I being made to feel like it was my fault for not knowing the laws, even though we have to utilize this third party comany for accessing leave. This has been a mess. I would have stayed if I was given the correct info in the first place and taken leave and came back. This whole situation had been a mess and i dont know what to do now.
