  • Most appliances today use computers to control the various appliance functions. Computers talk in logical 1's and 0's which are actually pulses or square waves of voltage that you can see on an oscilloscope or measure with a meter. These pulses are arranged in a specific sequence to transmit and receive information inside the appliance. In this video, the Samurai uses a Samsung dryer to show you what these pulses look like and how to use this information for troubleshooting.

    i know this is very old, however, What should i be checking with no power at all at the front panel. I have already replaced the control board and still only 5 volts from the plug to the front panel. have 120 at high limit side of board.

    so if your board is bad, would there be a burnt mark on the board or component?

      +Ron White Most board failures are not visible, especially if it's a failure of the DC logic circuits.

    If i connect positive of 1.5v of a flash light ,cell to dc ground (negative)of data harness and then the 3v flash light bulb connected to negative of that cell. now the other terminal of the bulb conected to piece of wire. (MY DEVICE is READY) if i touch the piece of wire to TX and after RX will the bulb illuminate or not? The bulb definitely having 1.5v of the cell also will get at least minimu 1 v from data harnes. may be pulse will not light or will blink i have no enough knowledge about pulse. Total volts available(1.5v from cell+ 1.0v> if data harness working) THANKS

    Hi, i have samsung WV55M9600AV/A5, when i push the power button, nothing happens. Just hear a click and then a green blinking light on the PCB. I have tried replacing the board but still no power. I am getting 120v to the pins before the fuse on the pcb.

    Where do you get a volt reader like that?? It looks like a tablet almost!!

    So no portion of 5 volts between GND and Tx means bad main board, and no voltage between GND and Rx means bad user interface, right?

    What did you use as you ground reference in this video?

    • @AppliantologyOrg
      @AppliantologyOrg  5 лет назад +2

      All DC voltage measurements are made with reference to DC Ground, not chassis ground nor AC Neutral. There was a DC ground in that same harness connector with RX and TX.

      @@AppliantologyOrg Thank you Sir. I must of watched your video 5 times, and couldn't see where you were picking up the GND ref. thanks for the video.
