Thank you for sharing your experiences Harriet, it’s incredibly brave to open up in this way. Having lost my Dad at the same age and my Mum more recently, this has really resonated with me. I have always turned to music when I face these kinds of emotions and whist that has always helped, it is also quite transient and I’m unable to look back now at how I dealt with it at the time. You’ve inspired me to return to my artistic roots, and I hope I’ll be able to be more open to this kind of expression in the future, so thank you ❤
Hi Gary, that’s such a lovely comment! It’s so hard to lose a parent at any age, and particularly your dad when you were so young. I can imagine they were both musicians too and gave you the gift of music. Pieces of music and songs can bring up strong emotions of a particular time and place. Hope you find time to play your guitars and revisit some of the pieces you played xx
My dad is in hospital now and looks like he may not make it. It’s true.. no matter your age it’s heartbreaking and devastating to loose a parent. I was born to two (obviously) but I have had others step in and become parents to me… no matter how they become your parents… they are and I’m grateful to have had this man love me so very much! Peace be with you and I hope healing has taken over most of the shock and grief ❤
@@Soibottleditup I’m so sorry to hear your dad is in hospital. I hope and pray he recovers. I do feel the same: although I didn’t get as long as I would have liked with my parents, I’m very grateful for their love and the lasting influence on my life. Stay strong 🤗
so very kind of you! I appreciate any and all Positive vibes and best wishes - he is strong and has made some improvements but not out of the woods! Btw- YOU helped me draw a lion for the first time and that was for my Dad. He has always given me things with a lion in them as he is my protector and I wanted to draw him one. You are truly affecting many people with your videos and your kindness is remarkable! Thank youuuu!
I’ve been watching this channel for 3 years. I forgot about it recently and decided to see if you still upload. I’m so glad to see that you are still using art as a creative outlet and telling us along you journey.
I have to say I loved this video! I’ve been exploring art for a year now. I’m in my 50s and finally decided to peruse something I love! Your videos have helped me so very much! In fact I have improved dramatically after watching you vs other tutorials on RUclips! So much so that I feel that if I watch something you have put out there that I can already draw it! I relate to you and thank you for putting yourself and your talent out here for people like me! Art IS CHANGING MY ENTIRE LIFE! ❤
Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. It makes me so happy to hear when people gain confidence in their art work, and you can draw anything you put your mind to! I hope you continue to pursue your passion 🧡
Phases and waves .... exactly so 🤗 ... thanks as always for sharing your thoughts passsion and art - particularly like this post - its invaluable ❤ Mikey 😁

Thank you for this lovely video. I'm very sorry you lost your mom and dad so young. I lost my father 22 years ago and my mother last year, it's devastating. Taking some watercolor classes helped me. But at home on my own it's hard to keep it up because I find fault in what I do. I will keep your advice in mind!
Hello, I’m so sorry you lost your father and more recently your mother. It always hits so hard. I’m so glad watercolour painting has helped- I love how watercolour paints do their own thing if you add them to a wash. Love seeing them mix and not knowing how it will turn out ☺️🧡
