Your videos are SO helpful, thank you. What if we want the field to autofill dynamically? Like if I want it to autofill the name/organization of whoever is logged in, as opposed to hard coding that info.
This was EXCELLENT! Question, if I create prefilled fields and the person filling out the form notices some information is incorrect or changed, can the person filling out the form change the information even if it's refilled? Thanks
Thank you Gareth ? Do you know a manner to ask a person to fill dozen of records in one single form ? For the moment, the best way I found is to send a person an excel file to fill and send it back to me. I do the import later. Thanks for your help. Thierry
Within Airtable native forms, this isn't possible - but you can use an add-on form software to accomplish the goal. My personal favorite is Fillout - they integrate directly with Airtable and we've done many videos about their software!
Thank you for the fantastic videos-they’ve been really helpful! I have a quick question: Is it possible to disable the link after the form is submitted? We need the form to be submitted only once, and if the link is clicked again, it should indicate that the form has already been submitted. Additionally, Is there a way to make prefilled details non-editable? For example, similar to hidden_assignee=true, could we have something like readonly_assignee=true or edit_assignee=false?
Thanks for watching! You can't disable the link automatically, but you can manually disable it in Airtable. You can't make a prefilled field uneditable. However you can prefill it and hide it, so they can't make changes.
Default fields are great, but can be changed, unlike a prefilled + hidden field. This is especially helpful when you send public form links to various people, each with uniquely filled out data.
The problem with the new AT Form interface is you have to click the fields in the order you want them to appear on the new form interface, otherwise you won't be able to move them around like you can in the "old" form view.

Is there a different URL limit with Interface forms? It's working for the first few then breaking after a few "&prefill_FIELD=" URL parameters
Are you using the Field ID or the field name?
@@GarethPronovost field name of a linked field (I know what you're going to say haha) I'll use the ID
@@RonyHay-uy6xs if the field name has a space in it, make sure to replace the space with %20 otherwise the url will break
@@GarethPronovost you are the best!! thank you
I'm confused. Why wouldn't you just set default values in the interface editor?
I use it for linked fields and hide it so people aren’t doing extraneous links. Linking a note to a specific case ID for example

I thought you could click/drag to reorder them, no?
Oh it's not as noticeable, I was finally able to, but not as intuitive as before.
