@evil5150 i see, well.. every character should have the tools to win even on high level. but sadly some are just too strong, Alisa is not overpowered or broken though. but yea she is easy to learn, but thats ok. every game has characters like that. personally when t6 first came out i liked Alisa alot, her fighting style and design made me want to learn her. then i found out that she was pretty easy to learn and 80% of the players started playing her like a noob, sadly
@evil5150 that is ironic, because if you have devoted yourself to her you would realize that on high level she becomes predictable and she has trouble dealing with pressure yes she is an easy character and bryan is difficult but he is also better, now if you are going to talk about cheap or broken then we should talk about Lars and Bob. Alisa may be easy but she is far from too good or overpowered, she is not that bad of a character. there are lamer ones, just learn the matchup and shut it
and i think thats what gave her such a bad name overtime, i can understand it being fustrating if you get beaten by some of those bad alisa players. but that is still peoples own mistake because if you know her well you should be able to punish her. if she is played the right way i dont see why people should hate on her, there are way more rediculous characters than Alisa. Mokujin a tree like fighter made from wood, and panda a huge fighting panda now that is realy stupid, a Robot is possible
@Garudanime I imagine everything you say is true. I never learned Tekken 6 at a high level because I was repelled by the overall design and the prevalence of offensively stupid characters like Alisa. I think Bob and Lars are especially disgusting and have no place in the Tekken universe. My comments were aimed at describing how distasteful I find it that a character as atrociously inane as Alisa is even a viable character at high level.
@Garudanime From an egalitarian design perspective you want every character to have somehwat equal footing, the problem is that the roster includes so many ridiculous characters, and that players are forced to learn each of them in depth. I'd rather not have to learn the ins and outs of Roger just to beat his silly marsupial ass. I certainly don't want to devote hours of practice mode figuring out how to counter characters that offend me deeply just by being in the game.
