The original cutscene of the MC decaying traumatised me as a kid
Same
@@robster_skip4987 understandable
Thank you for showing that johne as i didnt know that was the original ending for the hero's shadow, that was horrifying im scared. But it was honestly beautiful, it reminds me a lot of the original p3s opening and i dont know, its weirdly peaceful while horrific
The original cutscene hits so much harder because of the themes of the base game and the answer, confronting trauma and regret is uncomfortable and distressing.
??? its literally the same game
@@ye9945 the cutscene is different and he’s asked at the start which version you prefer, so I answered and explained why.
@ye9945
If you don’t know how to actually use that word correctly, then yeah it is.

Friends vs Friends
This is so sad to see them fight each other, but it's still so epic

Indeed
Aside from the removal of the key grab, which makes the scene look kinda awkward, I still really like Yukari’s vibe in this version. I like that she tries to mask her own desires and selfishness behind the collective of what “we” need to do; “WE can save him”, “WE need to go back”, it’s like she’s looking for validation, and Mitsuru is the only one giving it. I think it makes Mitsuru’s heart-to-heart with Yukari much more fulfilling than the original and keeps in tact Yukari’s best attributes. She’s loyal to her friends above all else, and the answer challenges her to face that trait with her own desires
I haven't seen the original in a hot minute, but I'm pretty sure Yukari & Mitsuru's moment is also extended in Reload (at least i don't remember it being that long), and as it went on it was honestly quite difficult to not break down along with Yukari. I was slightly disappointed (but not at all surprised, given the public reception of the original answer) that they toned down her aggression in the remake, but after giving it some thought, i realised that the new version still has Yukari coming across as irrational and cruel (to Aigis specifically), just not as extreme as before, so it still works. Also Heather Gonzalez pulled a stunning and very real performance, imo, so that definitely adds up! Tldr, i think the changes in episode aigis are very good, and the story is still as (if not more) impactful as it was in the original
Hope everyone's doing well today
Right back at ya
@@KevX36 thanks!
Same to you
I'm doing all right, just getting ready to get some exercise in.
How are you doing today?
@@natoriousthehopeful2786 I'm doing good!
Man. I really was not expecting The Answer to go down like this
Man, I wish Metis could throw her weapon like Captian America
Yukari did say she would win no matter what.
Even if she has to cheat and use skills she shouldn't have.
Everyone in the party stole skill cards from the MC.
@@discomorgue8358 I'd like to think all those skill cards are remnants or fragments of the bond they have with Makoto that turned into something they can use
So glad I managed to get this done in time to watch this on release
Another Rollercoaster of emotions
Thank you P3🥲
I love both versions of the cutscene as both have their pros and both convey the fade away of the lingering regret that SEES had for the Protag, albeit in different intensities. In The Answer we see it from a first person perspective and it's much more intense yet beautiful and fitting the much more grittier and darker vibe that the original game had.
Reload shows the reactions of the other members perspective and its more of a serene and peaceful disappearance, Aigis reaching for the protag pushes the tragic feel and also stays coherent with her always reaching out for him, but never able to reach him. Not to mention the vibrant colors that fit with Reloads more vibrant feel.
So disappointed that Yukari is no where near as aggressive as she was in the original
HEARTFUL CRY IS SO PEAK IN THIS GAME OH MY GOD
During Ken and Akihiko's fight Aigis just got hit with the gigantic fist
Man this hit the feels. Still remember the ps2 days playing the answer content. Back then was a kid and a lot of the undertone didn’t really sink in like it did now.
I found out about the original cutscene because aleks le posted an image of the final frame and I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS THAT BAD
I do like lizzie freeman voicing Metis and that moment where she puts her head on aigis' shoulder was cute
The first fight blocked me so hard that I had to go to the antique shop and pump Metis full of Persona stat cards, especially to patch up her luck.
WHY IS HEARTFUL CRY SUCH AN AMAZING TRACK
The new cutscene was more “suitable” for reload, but the original one is definitely way more memorable.
This match pushed me to the limit. I beat the reaper after a loss and lv 91 team still lost to the 2nd fight. These battles are too hard
I think it's just right. The enemies here are Makoto's friends that went with him and trained with him and even fought with him in the final battle. It just makes sense that they will be as strong as him
And also the fact that Atlus made them this strong means they're holding onto their wishes firmly that they refuse to give up in battle. Maybe that's why Atlus made them tough
*{Yr 2; Day 114} of been impressed by P5R and waiting for P6.*
The true enemies were the friends we made along the way...
1:55 At this point, I seriously don't know whether thats actually the correct pronounciation for Futsunushi or Johne is just continuing a meme thats on his channel.
14:38 Seems like he gets access to God's Hand only after he says that line, getting a Null Strike persona for it is probably the better idea.
Seems like Atlus tonned down everything else but these colossium fights, the difficulty spike is insane.
45:20 ...I think Johne almost went insane for a second there... 45:31 Its a war against your sanity.
Cant wait for the last final boss.
If I don't watch this video, I'll never have to cry because of the characters! Problem solved 😁....
ÆAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH CRYING CONVULSING VOMITING KICKING MY FEET EVAPPORATING WHY IS THIS SO PERFECT?????????
Where's the how's everyone doing today guy
He's here. Maybe their comment just didn't load yet
This broke your vocal cords and mental
13:30 that why was personal
So while I, on the whole, like the old cutscene better the one thing that undercuts it is that the characters simply don't seem to have much of a reaction to him decaying like that, in both versions they have reactions as if they saw the later cutscene (well y'know barring Aigis). I do think it's mostly a downgrade and I would have rather had something like the older one with proper reactions to match, especially considering the tournament is next, but that no real reaction was had even in the original is the only reason I can sorta see why this route was taken instead.
Episode 6 lets gooooooo
"Cheaters never win"
- Fuuka
They act like superbosses or smth
As good as heartful cry is, I wouldn’t mind if Don’t played instead during the sees fights
You always make great videos, as usual 👍 🥰❤️❤️😊😊
Those fights were cool
Hey there everyone, how was your weekend
Honestly from a writing and art perspective the original cutscene was way better it really had the impact that they were going for sure it’s disturbing but that’s the point it’s supposed to be seeing as though the mc died and him decaying like that was a brilliant way of showing how they were wanting to move on from his death once they defeated their lingering regret they had upon his death which only Aigis witnessed first hand
Hot take: I actually prefer Reload's version.
I completely get where Johne is coming when talking about the OG's meaning, but honestly? It was lost on me. I was just creeped out by the whole thing and just went "Ok... Why?". That’s on me, I'll admit.
But seeing the Reload version where everyone mournfully watches as it disappears before them was beautifully tragic. Especially with Aigis reaching out to it. Even if it was just a monster bearing his face, the fact that beared his face alone was enough to make them sad to see it go.
I think the inclusion of SEES's reaction to it does it for me in the end. If that was in both versions, I'd probably go with OG. But since it was just in Reload, Reload it is.
That's just me.
In my opinion, the Reload version of this scene is about as powerful the OG one.
Again, i want to clarify, that this is just my opinion
Also, i wont change my mind. However, i will respect other people's opinions
Commenting for the algorithm. I'm still in the Empyrean I need to catch up
Does anyone know what prompts the Megidolaon? I did not see that attack once when I fought each of them
Will mr awesome play a digimon game anytime soon?
Did you forgot about Joker?
I'm still disappointed at the fact Yukari isn't that aggressive as before. Its like they totally removed all of her emotions that she's holding back after what happened to Makoto. It feels like, she hasn't really cared or really loved him in the remake as opposed to what her original feeling is 😢
Dude, just because she isn't as much of a bitch doesn't mean she still didn't love MC. She still got on her knees and cried because she wanted to see him
I feel like, it was too damn excessive before but now its within reason. She's still hell-bent on it, even after we defeated her after all. One can say that she even emotionally tried to manipulate us to go down that path, even if it was just her breaking down.
Hey
