- In this session we have Abhijeet with us, he is currently working as Scientist - 'B' in NIC(National Informatics Center), he has shared his experience of being an Scientist/Assistant Director(IT) and elaborated on what is life like for an NIC scientist. We have discussed all the important aspects of working in NIC including career growth, monthly income, work culture, research opportunities, training, ways to become a scientist at NIC and his experiences.

Sorry but no!! Only CSE and ECE graduates are eligible.
@@careercushion hey are you sure about this, because i have asked few people who are working as scientist they said EEE is eligible! Can you please clarify.
Can u ask him how is the promotion policy in nic for a scientist
As scientist B(assistant director IT) you are eligible for promotion review after 3 years but promotion depends completely on your review interview and yearly performance score.
In case of other promotions process also same but period after you get eligible for review varies.
If you get direct scientist B or higher post you can get promoted till DG of NIC India depending on ur caliber, but if you get direct recruitment in below posts of scientist B then you are eligible for promotions till post of scientist C(Deputy director IT) only.

It will be level 10, approx 12lakhs plus various allowances.
