The reason why the triangle is so smooth compared to the NES is because the triangle counted from 0 to 15, which means the waveform had to make large jumps to complete the wave, which would also make that dull, muffled sound and add a higher pitch that otherwise should not exist
Okay, I got it! The X360 primarily uses limitless software mixed PCM handled by its own cpu, Xenon.. But it also has a second dedicated audio IC called Xbox Media Audio (XMA) which supports up to 5.1 (Built for surround-sound) audio channels, with a sample depth of 16 and a sample rate of 48kHz (Higher than CD quality).
I extracted the game with a software called "wxPirs" : digiex.net/threads/wxpirs-extract-content-from-xbox-360-demos-video-dlc-and-arcade-game-containers.9464/ The music files are located in the "sounds" folder. Just get Foobar2000 along with the vgmstream component (links in description), it should detect all the files and you should get all the stems easily, have fun!

360 for the win
I still have to read up on its sound system, but, agreed.👍

Something else that’s neat is that Xenon can apply extra effects to XMA before it outputs it!
The 360 is technology from another world.
@@Tail_BeagleHell yeah buddy!
@@Tail_BeagleThats some pretty good specs for a console at the time they did great!
Ok first we have the Mega Man 9 Xbox 360
Then the PS3 version and then the Wii and everything is cool!
You’re def doing the entire soundtrack. That’s awesome
Also Finish Kiosk Demo and do more Ermii Kart DS and CTGP Nitro
This is awesome! Where'd you find the files? I'd love to do a single video visualization of this OST (without the deconstruction).

I have a question how do you get those oscilloscope things cause this things are cool! Especially with the 8 bit ones
Simple! He uses Corrscope!
Are the squares, wave and noise sampled?
I heard somewhere that they're emulated, but I'm not too sure
@@aleksavasic2612 I always thought they were sampled, as Xbox 360 audio is pure PCM, and software mixed samples.
Naw, they couldn’t be emulated.. That triangle is WAY too smooth for the Famicom/NES!
@@Tail_Beagle You're right
@@Tail_Beagle Then they're probably sampled...
