He states in the beginning that his team has a standardized loud out. Meaning ATACS could well be a requirement. Anyways, both ATACS and multicam are effective camos.
I really enjoyed this series. It's nice going back and examining where you came from. I remember when I used ACU's, a paintball mask, and a starter gun. Now I use a loadout that's very similar to what modern soldiers would wear, and a gun based off the M4A1 SOPMOD block 2.
Bob's got a pretty great loadout going. I played alongside him on Saturday and he's a great player. Remember - your Milsim loadout needs to be functional before anything else, unless you're going for an impression of sorts.
In airsoft, there are three standard magazine types for AEG's (Auto Electric Guns) you have the: hi-cap: this magazine holds anything from about 160 to 1000 bb's (the latter is usually in a drum mag style) you have to wind these magazines. Mid-cap: this magazine holds about 60 to 130 rounds. these are considered the best magazines by a lot of airsoft players as they hold a decent amount of ammo but you don't have to wind them. Low cap/ real cap: 30 to 60 rounds, no winding most realistic sin é
Low Cap-20/45rds Mid Cap-60/190rds High Caps-300/600rds Box Magazine-1500/3000 Low Cap/Mid Cap normal reload no winding wheel. While high caps have a winding wheel. Mid caps are what people usually prefer since it is a milsim game.
The 416 is in fact in service. The U.S Marines, Army, and most special forces uses it and as well as the German military uses it, it is their product after all.
Depends on the environment. Army is issuing Multicam for troops in the field but ACU's are still common. A-TACS are relatively new and I believe still in testing. But the big problem is the environment. If it is a woodland game I would wear a woodland pattern camo like multicam marpat or M81's. Wear what works.
when you mean in service it means standard issue among troops. Special forces have much greater access to other weapons than normal units. There are pics of SEALS handling SCARs and many other weapons not normally available in the US arsenal.
this is like my favorite video i keep watching it lmao i just love it im planning on getting new gear and this is what im aiming for with some differnt stuff
Couple changes I would have made, would've grabbed a plate carrier with a bit better weight distribution and kangaroo pouch, would have grabbed a combat shirt/pant set (Multicam) in Crye cut to change out those knee pads, and also would've ran a holster attached to my first line along with a dumper and ten speed pouch.
Awww it's so cute, the west coasters actually have milsim too! Haha I'm just fuckin with ya. But yeah, some advice for anyone watching: -Thigh rigs suck. Once you try running in one, you'll want to throw it at someone. If you need extra mags, store em in your hydro carrier and have a buddy get them and/or carry a speedloader -Vest mounted dump pouch usually mean cranking your arms back at weird angles to get mags back out to reload them. Mount it to belt.
>in airsoft it varies according to your style No matter the style, moving fast can benefit EVERYONE. The faster someone is, the harder it is to flank him, suppress him, the better he can reach alternative cover and the harder it is to lead the target. This applies to real combat, now imagine airsoft, where BBs are 7-10 times slower than bullets. I like hips for speed reloads, chest for tac reloads. It's not that legs are "wrong", but it's a milsim loadout. Real ammo weights more than BBs.
All that stuff is so damn heavy. What I learned was minimalist, go as light as possible and hit as fast and hard as possible. Camo, belt has a drop pouch, 6 mags on my right leg, and a right pistol holster on my left, backwards because i find it so much easier. Everyone I play with slowly drops all that needless crap.
That's what we would call in service in limited quantity. But that clandestine ops weaponry, I've seen the SCAR, MP7 and HK416 in "regular" pics in Afghanistan, not to mention the Assimetrics Warfare Group using them too, and they're pretty regular
this is a milsim loadout. the loadout you suggested is good for CQB or maybe SC village, but even a field like Jericho(if you live in socal) with longer ranges and extended objective games you need something like this. Besides, it's really not that heavy but that's comig from a guy who backpacks, so maybe I'm biased
True but you can go into military programs it's not technically enlisted but you are working with others soldiers and training like the army's future solider program.
Im 17 and I joined the US Marine Corps; the minimum requirement to join is 16 as long as you graduate high school. The thing is you need parent consent; but in the end, as long as the parents agree, then you are good. I am a poolee and my ship date is the 8th of July 2013 and my MOS is 5900(Electronics Maintenance); expect my MOS to change after my 9 month at the school which would most likely be in the East Coast.
You seemed Confused so let me explain. In high there is JROTC, it is a class you can take that teaches you about the military and skills you can apply in life. You don't have to be in the Military to Join ROTC. In the Us you can also join the Military at 17 but have to do whats called delayed entry which just means you can got to Boot camp and AIT but you can't go over seas till you are 18.
that woud be cool, i have a G&G R8-L and i am getting a elite force iron sights and a noveske amplifier, id like to geta peq box and put in a lipo, uprage the motor to a high speed, and probabaly a really good tight bore barrel. And maybe a few of the internals like a ball bearing spring guide to help it last longer.
If you're fast with dropleg stuff why the hell not? If you don't want to get too much on your vest, if your waist gets inaccessible while crouching/proning, if you wear an oldschool chest rig or non modular vest your best choice is leg stuff, from holsters to mag pouches. I personally run as fast and it keeps my vest sleak and not cluttered, although I do use my SF chest rig waay more often than any modular stuff
btw that's not a usmc plate carrier. the usmc uses the ciras and otv interceptor as their main rigs. that is more of a navy special forces plate carrier
Bob...this eq is way beyond any average guy budget but i do appreciate your enthusiasm! But every time you never mention spare batteries...8 mags and no battery replacement? does your rifle use uranium batteries? :D let me know
Of course that there's something wrong with a person that buys a $300 Pantac plate carrier just for airsoft but the fact is that cheaper stuff handles well being at home or even in CQB games. But let's face it: Pantac (just an example, not making an advertisement) has plate carriers that are roughly double of what Condor charges. Condor is the obvious choice if you're sure your use will not force you to buy twice.
Green Berets (for example) can pick any weapon under the sun that they would like to take into combat. An AUG, an AN-94, their old 1911 or Ruger Redhawk. Whatever they feel will make them do their job better. It doesn't mean that the gun is in American Service now. Often times, these guns are bought and owned by the soldier.
Since when was a Sig given an M designation? The SEALs have replaced the m9 with the p226 since the m9 is known to jam, and the Marines are planning to switch soon to the p226 as well, but to my knowledge the Sig p226 is still undergoing testing trials and hasn't been given an M designation yet.
I have the H&K 416 he is using and as a stock gun it's amazing. I would like to 'kit' it out to increase it's badass factor and performance and would also like to know how much all the internal/external upgrades would cost me? Are all the upgrades listed on the AirsoftGI website?
Usain Bolt doesn't have to carry anything or be fast at reloading a weapon. But it does come down to preference, I've determined that if the gear is any good and well adjusted it will weigh you down evenly and your fitness will determine how well you can run it. It's a matter of speed and doctrine, how you reload and where do you put your spent mags etc..
But statistically most injuries from BBs during airsoft games happen in situations that should never happen in the first place: high powered guns shot at very close distances - to the face. When those things happen there's a pretty big chance of injury. For people that play regularly it's not a matter of "if", it's a matter of "when".
well, i guess im just too used to cqb were you constantly need to sprint place to place but still all that bulk gets in the way when you dive for cover and stuff
We also run a lot of real gear here in the US. The ONLY thing Bob is running that is 'real steel' is his G Code pistol holster setup. Most of the little kids that are fans of these goofy ASGI videos will never aspire to the level of MilSim that you and I are at. That's fine though, because that's what they want out of the hobby and that's what you should go for. Check out American Milsim here in the midwest. Tons of hardcore MilSim guys here.
>Usain Bolt doesn't have to carry anything He's obviously carrying optimal gear for running, otherwise he would be naked and barefoot. I dunno, personally I've worn leg gear without a lot of extra fatigue but I don't like building training scars. If I was carrying real ammo I'd probably have more trouble, I prefer to carry with my hip and shoulders. If someone's vest is too cluttered then some stuff has to be thrown out. Unless the purpose is to look like you're going to assault Omaha beach all by yourself and the games you play aren't that long - then leg stuff is fine. But to me the holster is my limit, specially in milsim.
well the rifle alone is $1200 approx. Revision goggles are $60 i think. He probably spent about $200 on the plate carrier rig including all the pouches. Nice set of BDU's are probably $150ish. Another $250 for the pistol, gas, ammo, mag. Helmet and Comm setup is probably another $200-300. Approximate another $200 in various (batteries, patches, slings, pads, etc.) So not cheap. But hey, it's Bob the Axe Man, so it's gotta be good!
Please show me a pic of anyone in the US military outside the special forces using it. And also as far as I know the Bundeswehr use the HK g36. The HK416 uses the same gas-block system as the g36, but is in a platform very similar to the ar-15, making it much easier for US military personnel to train with it as no major modifications to training would need to be made. Haha That 416 cost $1200, his team must have some rich players...
He does work for AirsoftGi soooo
Most of them have jobs probably.
That_PS4_RUclipsr but still $1200 is a lot of money for one gun.
A-10 master race
Or a job
should have got a combat shirt
He states in the beginning that his team has a standardized loud out. Meaning ATACS could well be a requirement. Anyways, both ATACS and multicam are effective camos.
I really enjoyed this series. It's nice going back and examining where you came from. I remember when I used ACU's, a paintball mask, and a starter gun. Now I use a loadout that's very similar to what modern soldiers would wear, and a gun based off the M4A1 SOPMOD block 2.
Multicam BDU set: 1st month, 100 dollars.
Kneepads, belt: 2nd month, 50 dollars.
Drop pouch, chest rig: 3rd month, 60 dollars.
Holster, sling: 4th/5th month, 50 dollars
Decent G36C: 6-8th months, 160 dollars.
Replica MICH helmet w/ cover: 10th month, 40 dollars
4 double mag pouches: 12th month, 60 dollars
6 Mags: 12th month, 60 dollars.
Just hunt and pec through surplus stores until you find a good one, and build up your arsenal over time.
Change atacs to aor1 or multicam and the helmet to a fast helmet and then it would look good
Multicam is asstier.
Bob's got a pretty great loadout going. I played alongside him on Saturday and he's a great player. Remember - your Milsim loadout needs to be functional before anything else, unless you're going for an impression of sorts.
That's how you suppose to do a load out video. Very nicely done
Can you do some sort of police loadout just for fun?
This was 4 years ago...
the comment was one year ago
7 months ago when he replied
Jack Wang that was 7 years ago...

Great Airsoft Loadout Bob.I Learn A Lot
Low Cap-20/45rds Mid Cap-60/190rds High Caps-300/600rds Box Magazine-1500/3000
Low Cap/Mid Cap normal reload no winding wheel. While high caps have a winding wheel. Mid caps are what people usually prefer since it is a milsim game.
It's a g-code holster, and they sell them on their website. Each one is specifically designed for a certain type of pistol.
The 416 is in fact in service. The U.S Marines, Army, and most special forces uses it and as well as the German military uses it, it is their product after all.
Multicam works good in some places and Atacs works good in some places. Both are good types of camo
1:02 "I went too AirsoftGidotCom" Obviously ^^
Nice load-out tough Bob
There are certain lipo batteries designed to fit in the buffer tube.
Depends on the environment. Army is issuing Multicam for troops in the field but ACU's are still common. A-TACS are relatively new and I believe still in testing. Pretty awesome load out
its crazy this is how i wanted my loadout almost exactly before i watched this video
this is like my favorite video i keep watching it lmao i just love it im planning on getting new gear and this is what im aiming for with some differnt stuff

When shooting from the kneeling position that is the knee that he puts to the ground. That is quite common. Hope that answers your question mate. :)
Sweet that is just about the same as my load out! Except I use a KWA LM-4 and Crye Precision Pants, shirt, and vest in multicam.
Awww it's so cute, the west coasters actually have milsim too! Haha I'm just fuckin with ya.
But yeah, some advice for anyone watching:

I already met him.
Checking that off my bucket list.
Thanks! It makes so much sense now.
Very nice. Same camo as the New Zealand army
John this is sick
Here in my country "in service" basically includes everything available, as in the HK416 is in service with the SEALs.
>in airsoft it varies according to your style
No matter the style, moving fast can benefit EVERYONE. Can you put in links to some of the gear?
hey congrats on making the team. Great job.
Also what is your teams name.
Can you do a navy seal loadout or FBI loadout
+vicente leiva Yep you always looks stupid with that thing, I'm wearing a mask under it now to cover dat shit xD
+PhenixDj true
The P228 received the M11 designation.

I wear the FG Atacs. :) But you gotta tuck in the jacket. Looks much more slick. Tuck it in!
@bf3sum No that is. Most marines are issued the spc (scalable plate carrier). That is a replica of one
I'm sorry to inform you bob, but you have been stripped of your awesome rank. YOU ARE NOW MR. BADASS AWESOME PANTS ON FIRE
The gun he has is listed on the site for $1,200 uve got to be joking
Nope.
that woud be cool, i have a G&G R8-L and i am getting a elite force iron sights and a noveske amplifier, id like to geta peq box and put in a lipo, uprage the motor to a high speed, and probabaly a really good tight bore barrel.

can you guys make videos on different camo loadouts. for instance, acu, desert digital, multicam?
Yeah it is, there alot of pics mostly of Navy SEALs and some Assimetrics guys using the HK416..
You do know ACU is not a camo right? It's called the Army Combat Uniform. It is the Replacement of the BDU's (Battle Dress Uniform)
Truer words have never been said.

airsoft gi hi speed brush motor used in vacuum cleaners
btw that's not a usmc plate carrier. the usmc uses the ciras and otv interceptor as their main rigs. that is more of a navy special forces plate carrier
I haven't seen them with it yet I think. The SEALs on the other hand have been using and abusing the german stuff, from HK416 to the MP7
Man I wish I had the money to use on stuff like that...
Tis only because he works there- he gets it for free because hes promo-ing
Rhys Jackson NO WAY!!!! THATS AN AMAZING JOB!!!!
well duhh xD
Nolan H He most likely wouldn't get any of that gear for free. On top of that, he was just showing off the gear.
well he uses it for his games... in which he advertises airsoftgi so yeh its like a promo car that you get when you work for a company...
Awesome look!
I wish we had Airsoft in Australia! If we did I would you buy my rifles, attachments, gear etc. from Airsoft GI!
whosJoshie? your shipping costs would be AIDS tho
i get what you mean, and i am not trying to argue, but cost wise, i think that is why many peoploe get the condor stuff and not crye and etc.
Bob...this eq is way beyond any average guy budget but i do appreciate your enthusiasm! But every time you never mention spare batteries...8 mags and no battery replacement? does your rifle use uranium batteries? :D let me know
you guys should do a tactical gearheads Gas Blowback MilSim loadout.
Actually there are two long sleeve shirts, there is also a COMBAT shirt.
Bob, I think that If anyone was your kid, that kidwould be the luckiest kid alive.
MilSim isn't a set of gear, it's a mind set.
Great loadout
Of course that there's something wrong with a person that buys a $300 Pantac plate carrier just for airsoft but the fact is that cheaper stuff handles well being at home or even in CQB games.

Get some Tenergy batteries. They are quite good.
lol, the only milsim game I ever went to I just guarded a base for the entire game.
I have the H&K 416 he is using and as a stock gun it's amazing. I would like to 'kit' it out to increase it's badass factor and performance and would also like to know how much all the internal/external upgrades would cost me? Are all the upgrades listed on the AirsoftGI website?
A mid cap or low cap mag means you don't have to wind up the mag. A mid is around 75-190 rounds and a small is 45-20. (:
Usain Bolt doesn't have to carry anything or be fast at reloading a weapon. But it does come down to preference, I've determined that if the gear is any good and well adjusted it will weigh you down evenly and your fitness will determine how well you can run it. would love to see the game play if you got it
Bob looks dope! See kids! Its all about who you know.
Honestly I think he looks better before the changes but its just my opinion
Me too
One day I'll get some airlift gear
want to see sniper bob loadout
Exactly what I was thinking.
We also run a lot of real gear here in the US. The ONLY thing Bob is running that is 'real steel' is his G Code pistol holster setup. >Usain Bolt doesn't have to carry anything
He's obviously carrying optimal gear for running, otherwise he would be naked and barefoot. And he's wearing specialized gear that weights as less as possible.
>be fast at reloading a weapon
Well then magazines on the legs aren't exactly the fastest places.
>your fitness will determine how well you can run it
Of course. But the point is that if you're fit you'll perform even better if the gear is carried as high as possible.
the custom HK416 is $1200!!!!!!!!
I have never heard of a prohibition against sending 17 yr olds overseas. I'm pretty sure one of the guys I went to Okinawa with was 17.
The 416 is the standard weapon of the Norwegian forces.
yeah for the price you get good replica gear from condor.
Why isn't that sight on a riser mount? It's preferable due to the design of tube optics and specially because of the mask.
more gear than I would carry, but still looks cool nonetheless.
Is the holster and pouch on your legs connected to a belt as well, or are they just strapped to your leg?
Hm, so apparently the sig p228, not p226, has been adopted and given its M designation.
well the rifle alone is $1200 approx.
First mil-sim op, gets 1200 GI custom. Ahhh Bob.
He was saying he was on a team as an example.
The HK416 is part of a contest held by the US army to replace the m16 family of rifles.
Please tuck your shirt in it just looks scruffy
It's pretty hard to tuck these shirts in, plus even military personnel don't tuck these in.
please let me know next time you tuck your coat inside your bluejeans. because that isnt an assulter shirt for vests its a coat.
Dyllan Lara Actually most infantry units or specops units do usually tuck their shirts in. Some don't, but generally you do.
It's called the tactical tuck, and yes, most tactfully minded people do.
AmnScottNN
They usually don't unless they are in combat.
If you go to TVB 4 you will meet him most likely like i did at TVB 3(down with Tim! :D) so yeah.
I have the same mask. My goggles fit on better then my glasses.
bob...makes any gear gr8
Except multicam. Nobody can ever make multicam look good.
what i think you mean acu
