I've been watching society devolve for 30 years now, but the last few years have taken it to a level I could have never imagined. When a significant percent of the population is raised by people who will destroy a restaurant because they can't get a refund on food they just ate because they "got the order wrong" or loot a store like it's their birthright, we are doomed. The tipping part is 100% true. My Barber in highschool is a DJ and he made a CD and sold it at the shop. He charged $15 and id always give him $25. When I saw the display I told him I'd like to buy one. He grabbed it and handed it to me. Everyone there was like AY WTF SEAN? YOU GIVING HIM ONE BUT YOU CHARGING YOUR PEOPLE?

I used to go to a barbershop where my barber was Puerto Rican and I always had him cut my hair because my hair was similar to Latinos. One day I'm waiting for the barber to come back from a lunch break or something and a black barber asked if he could cut it. I told him no because the other guy knows how to cut my type of hair. He got upset and tried fighting me and accusing me of being racist. So he not only tried to steal another barbers client, but also tried to fight a customer

This is becoming a serious problem. I'm sitting here with longer hair than I've ever had bcz I can't find anyone to cut it right. The last 2 times I had to shave my entire head after being charged $25 when they used to be $15 not long ago
I thought it was bcz I moved to FL from NJ and I figured maybe ppl just don't care how they look down here. In Jersey you would be the one getting swung on for messing up someones hair like that. You just can't do it up there

I don't think you have looked very hard if all you can find is "kids" to cut your hair. Maybe spend a bit more if you want a decent haircut? $25 seems like low end pricing to me, but I don't live in the States so maybe it isn't.

I have German wire hair and I won't go to Asian run salons anymore because they have a tendency to steam roll their clients into the way they think your hair should be cut rather than what you want. They are used to straight hair and don't seem to understand that curly hair is styled differently. I have had to get it fixed later by a different salon..never again.

I found a black barber who did a great job, just luck I guess. For the past 5 years I've been going to an Italian gentleman who is now 82 years old - he's got mad skills and is a super nice guy to talk with. Charges just 30 in a big city and he gives all his customers a biscotti on the way out. They're a dying breed like most trades.

Yeah I have seen that too when I was younger. Sometimes a barber will decide that THEY KNOW better than you what you really want in a haircut. I have had a barber do that to me twice. The first time dude gave me lines on the side of my head along with the cut. The second time I asked for a different barber because I wanted the cut I asked for and not be a piece of art for other dude's creativity and they messed up my haircut THAT time on purpose because I asked for a different barber. I never went to that place again. The major issue is when "Barbers" think that they are professional "stylists." I realize there are some talented hairstylists working at Barber shops, but the thing they need to remember is that they ARE at a Barber Shop and NOT a Beauty Salon.
A big problem I've experienced at white women hair salons is that they don't know how to cut white people's hair with curls! They expect everyone to straighten their hair everyday! Some of us, like our natural hair and want to take care of it. These lady stylists, knowing that they don't know how to cut curly hair, will STILL cut our hair, and screw our hair up! These stylists biggest problem is that they insist on washing already clean hair, then start giving us curly haired girls a cut while it's still wet. They cut it to the length we asked for, WHILE IT'S STILL WET, and then when you only wanted an inch or 2 taken off, it turns into 5 to 6 inches off! It's like they don't know that curly hair is longer when it's wet, and is shorter when dry because CURLS! The worst cut I ever had, I wanted a cut with my hair a half inch above my shoulders. The lady cut my hair, while wet, 2 inches above my shoulders! When it dried, my hair literally looked like George Washington's hair style! I was depressed for a whole ass year, because that's how long it took before I could get my hair even into a ponytail!
