Nice walkthrough. Another downside of groups is their geometry - it's very buggy and unpredictable. Most of the time I create an asset I want to add to the library, loses its geometry when I re-use it and it becomes cropped, cut off, incorrectly sized.

Have you tried right-clicking the Group in the timeline, and selecting "Resize Group" and then "Canvas Size"?

Yet another great video. It seems to me that the hidden features of Camtasia are as big as the ones that are not.

cool! then one thing I use groups for is to kind of stash other work. take the tracks or whatever and group then, lock it and hide it then minimize, then I can work on other stuff without the visual distraction

That's a neat trick to handle visual distraction. Thanks for sharing that tip, Gerald!

Looks useful, but not being familiar with groups it would have helped to have to explained first. Also, the explanation in this video is so fast, it's hard to follow what is going on.

While it is self explanatory what a group is you didn't show how you grouped the elements and just took off like you're trying to run a race or something. A beginner has to rewatch over and over to try to figure out what you did. Your video is too fast paced with no foundational support for what you are trying to show.
