That was a beautiful sounding red wing blackbird. I have wonderful childhood memories of them singing in the springtime of life on the farm in North Dakota.
Excellent, Colonel! I have enjoyed you for many years and one reason I like watching is that I don’t know this stuff. You are a good thinker and are logical. You are a smart guy. Thanks.
There is absolutely no reason to laugh about you or your work! This is very serious business and i found it amazing how you handle this. Stay cool dude and besides, your videos are quite informative and entertaining.
you're all right too, as long as you don't post advice about trucking. these typically start with "i don't know much about trucking, but I think you should ...." and buy .... and never ...".
Hey Sergei, Hey just wanted to say a big thank you for listening to me and taking my advice. I live in MN in salt country, so I know how these things are around here.
Keep an eye on those bolts, the castle nuts are for a cotter pin to keep them from backing out. I see the new nuts are self locking just check them now and then. Glad you finally got them fixed and bigger shim installed. Love the videos Captain Sergi.
Hey Colonel Serguei, I enjoy watching all your video and your videos are a learning video for me because I want to get into Heavy haul on day. Be safe out there on the road. Hope to see you out on the road.
Major Sergei, every days a school day, your always learning! I ve been doing the job 30years and things still surprise me,great vlog as always, outfits looking great, stay safe.
Greetings from Kansas Col. Serguei. Knew the bolt trouble would be fixed. Sounding like Howard Hughes with the gloves/coffee cups. "Come in with the milk." ; ) Safe travels & best wishes!
Why not making your own coffee, in Europe most of the drivers have a coffeemaker in the cab. No instant but a real machine. Happy travels and stay safe!
Concentrated windshield washing fluid in a spray bottle is also working. Optimal solution is 70% concentration of alcohol diluted with water. Just don't lick your fingers after using it or you'd get a nasty taste in your mouth. At least I think that everyone watching here do learn quite a bit about the Heavy Haul operation. It looks like the trailers are just crudely put together but the reality is that there are a lot of finer details to take care of like getting the correct shims in the correct places. Stay safe and keep the rubber down!
Colonel don’t listen to the mainstream news those numbers are probably not accurate I’m pretty sure they’re not. Stand up comedy and music that gets you down the road. Be safe👍👍👍
Thank You for Highlighting the Awareness of the Corona Virus etc and just to be safe with your keeping your hands clean at all times and going out into homes/public places we all take life for granted..its called common sense in being healthy and fit.
I am not a bolt expert. The bolts that were the original bolts were fine thread. The replacement bolts Warren used were a coarse thread. You may want to double check with the trailer manufacturer that the coarse threaded bolts meets the specification for the amount of weight you are carrying.
#1 I was a fan until you insulted me for offering you advice on something I thought u might of missed. Sorry for trying to help someone I really liked!!!. #2 if you Google coarse and fine thread the fine comes up stronger. That's advice again I am sorry! #3 if you google teflon lock nuts .The lock nut with the teflon in it has a life span on how many times it can be removed and reinstalled. That's advice again I am sorry! #4 You modified your trailer with bolts that are not original equipment from manufacturer . So your trailer could possibly be out of compliance by the manufacturer. That's advice again, I am sorry! I guess that's what I get for being a nice guy and wanting to see someone I like succeed.
David Ribeca I cant tell that those bolts are doing much more than holding the shims in place. The weight of the load and trailer are doing the rest of the work. Furthermore if those bolts are providing much more than that.....they would have to be MUCH bigger. 🤷♂️
@@emeraldisle70 Those bolts are holding in conjunction with the pin on the underside of that area are keeping back of his trailer together as well as keeping the shim in.
Sergei you just haven't gotten the right inverter for your truck. a good RV service center Should be able to fix you up. you can get one to run a fridge, microwave, and charge your laptop all at the same time. you could even have some solar panels put on top so you don't have to run your motor if your sitting for days.
Sergei, I'm sure you can find a piece of a mudflap laying around, eh... You can use it to cover your hoses and cables in case bolt heating occurs again... And something tells me it will... Good luck, eh...
Thanks for your videos. I first started watching your videos about the time you were purchasing the MACK. Now you are driving the monster rig. Question..... has it always been your goal to do the type of hauling you are doing with your present rig?
Fine threads have less tendency to loosen...if youre going to be changing shims, I would get some tools to be able to do it yourself and at least check tightness of those coarse threaded ones...how do I know this? 45 years of heavy industry as a Journeyman Machine Repair Millwright & Tool and Diemaker...a 2" sledge wrench would be good...JMO's
Why are you so far south in (Texas) to get to Las Vegas ? Wouldn't a more direct route be through Illinois, Nebraska, Colorado, etc. ? Regarding the glove issue, stop at a Harbor Freight store in the US or Princess Auto in Can. and pick up a couple of boxes of disposable rubber gloves (50 pairs per box) about 10 bucks US per box.
At least you didn’t have to drive in our Amarillo wind. (Makes Chicago seem like a slight breeze). Keep safe! My dad was a trucker up until he passed. You guys keep the world running!
That’s the way it is in Amarillo. There is a one way service road on each side of I-40. It’s a real pain in the ass to go anywhere on surface streets. Must have been real fun wheeling the long ass truck of yours there. Did you go the the Big Texan for a steak?
Looks like you found a good mechanic ....check those bolts after 500-1000 miles. Serg i never ran west Canada....do they give more weight for trucks on the tri drive ? is that why they don't recognize our tandem with pusher ? I have seen a few for sale here in the northeast US for sale but wondered why they added all the extra weight and drive. Good luck on the trip...stay healthy...
You have to be cautious with the coronavirus. You could try bleach or vinegar with water for surface cleaning . Both have strong odor. Also you should keep WD40 and wire brush to spray on the bolts and nuts on your equipment. Get an electric tea pot that heats water. Be safe.
Maybe you could get the coffee with their lids but then get rid of that lid, put the coffee in your mug with your lid, of which you know that it is clean before taking a sip. These lids and their initial packaging are generally safe, because otherwise they would spread a lot of illnesses, even in normal times - just think about winter, when everybody has the flu. Gloves make only sense if you can get rid of them before entering your truck again. Generally speaking I guess your operation is extremely safe, even when your infected (your age group does fine even with the virus and compared to others you are healthy and robust), since you don't go to visit your parents in an elderly home every day - the boys and girls you are working with are all not in a high risk group and you are almost doing a perfect social distancing (at least in your videos).
HI Sergei - I love this site as I love big special machines and heavy load trucks and trailers are included in that. Is there a video where we see this trailer going out to full length?

I'd look at getting a proper power inverter and wire it direct to the battery with it's own fuse. 1500w inverter an a 700w stove-top/ microwave, 12v coffee pot, an you could cook v.s. eating out (camping, but cooler). I'm not fond of the car-outlet's for much of anything, apart from maybe a cigarette-lighter. lol Being that it's YOUR truck, you get to modify it to fit your needs. If you need better charging ports... ehh, why not. :P
The reason only 15,000 people have been tested in the United States is because the FDA hadn't authorized the use of test kits from several of the pharmaceutical companies. The FDA is often the road block to progress because they want everything double-blind tested before approval, side effects cataloged, etc. However, the FDA has just authorized "emergency use" status for the test kits. As an example, ONE pharmaceutical company, Roche, has 400,000 test kits being shipped this weekend. Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS will start providing "drive thru" testing in their parking lots. We also have organizations like the Cleveland Clinic that has just released a "rapid result" test kit that provides test results in 8 hours. That test kit is going into production by one of the pharmaceutical companies with an expected output of 1.5 million kits per month.
The federal government announced yesterday that all Canadians outside the country including the US should come home immediately as they may close the borders. Hopefully they don’t. My friends came back from Florida into Quebec and were told they have to go into 14 days of Quarantine { self isolation). They were driving their own car.. be safe
I refuse to fuel at Pilot/Flying J and Loves because they're diesel is always $0.50 cents more than any other gas station in town yet their unleaded gasoline prices are the same as everyone else in town. That just tells me that they're out to screw the truck's over which is their main customers. So if a business wants to screw over their customers I'm not going to be their customer.
Get a pocket full of napkins ( free from the food section) and use them to open doors and other things. Then just throw them away. The gloves are a great idea but if you're not sanitizing them after you touch something I'm afraid you'll be carrying what ever virus were on that idem around with you and into your truck. You get sick and we won't have any great videos to watch. Just a suggestion. Stay safe my friend.

Hi Colonel Sergei, sorry to disagree with you on the "free" health care system but waht I have to say is don't believe everything you hear or see in the news. Most news agency in the world will tell you that "free" Healthcare systems are the best because they are politicizing it wich they shouldn't be doing. "free" Healthcare systems are bad and I say this because we in Portugal also have it and we always have to hope for the best. You have to wait hours to get attended, hospitals are always clogged up, conditions aren't the best, the only thing you can rely is the good professionalism of the personal that works in these places. I'll give an example, on the United States, democrats are already taking advantage of the COVID-19 to try to make Donald Trump look bad, wich is a very bad thing to do. Safe travels
Healthcare in Canada is a non-profit service for all Canadians. Healthcare in the U.S. is designed to make a profit for private hospitals, insurance companies and out of control pharmacies. ( Check U.S. vs. Canadian drug prices.) Our per person healthcare costs are half of U.S. and everyone is covered for nearly everything. That's why they think universal healthcare is the way to go.
