Pav bhaji followed by lassi? Sounds like a perfect day! I’d give anything to have those right now. Thanks for the video; it’s got me drooling already. Cheers from Indonesia! 🍻
You have a misconception that british or Portuguese built Mumbai, British did built some buildings but for their operations not to create opportunities for locals, also Mumbai was a port city even before british came, British just amplified the trade in that port which in turn attracted marchants from Gujraat and other provinces and persecuted Zrorasters to settle down in Mumbai, before Mumbai, Thane was a big port city just near Mumbai, people their were already involved in trade. So truth is British didn't built city of Mumbai alone, but they played an important role to build the city.
Sorry if I gave that impression, but that’s not what I believe, Portugal and the Brits were discussed primarily for the impact they had on the history of the cities name. I did say that artisans and labourers came as a result of the British (which is true) but also of course a number would have pre dated the British and Portuguese, I can see how this may have given you the impression that I put emphasis on the British as the only city builders. The truth is I’m British Australian and I am very critical of the role that Britain played in Asia during this time.

😬 (don’t tell anyone 😉) Yes you are right, I release every fortnight and editing takes a long time, also I travel to film and edit back in Australia so I need a runway of episodes to ensure I can release consistently. Next episode is on Indian Independence Day for a big fat time stamp.
@@tuckereats9146 No issues, youtube recommended your video and watched it, as it was few days old, but was surprised to see rains in the video. Good luck with your channel
The true taste of india is in traditional home cooking the flavours there are way different family to family and region to region. Street food is good but its not the true taste definition.
@@tuckereats9146 As you see, they are "cooking" few dishes, they have pulav on the left (as we see your video) and pav bhaji. he puts some clarified butter (Ghee) and then some spice to mix and then puts the pav (bread buns) to soak that flavour, but then he simply takes the bhavji (the vegetables) and puts in the plate. In Butter pav bhaji, a nice thin slice of butter is put on the hot pan and the vegetables, mixed with it, and then another thin slice of butter is put on top as topping. and some shredded coriander and Mint leaves as garnish. Alternately they would put diced onion and coriander leaves mixed together on side, its adviced to add on the vegetable before eating, gives a nice flavour. We usually eat pav bhaji and order 2 extra buns, as simply cannot eat with just 2 buns, has to be 4 Hope you enjoyed your stay in Mumbai, Take care, be good.

There are half baked half cooked things world wide the thoughts of foreigners are similar half knowledge half witted stories about India. They think India never existed before brits Portuguese visited to india. India that is and was always Bharat.
Thanks for the intel Luffy, my first India vlog was not popular and I thought maybe it was the language barrier so I hard subbed this one (and the next two 🫣). Can I ask, I used Ai to auto translate, were the subtitles ok or was the translation confusing?
By the way nice take on the history section 👍
