This seems like efficient paths, although the OD turning could use a little work to break up the long stringy chips. Also on the slotting op on the back side you could rotate the slot so it points down and so the chips fall out.
12:12 tip went but they skipped that, lol. The flats at the end what a waste of time doing it like that 24:00 min mark. Are they manual chucks?? . What a lovely quite machine and shop tho
Also grooving tools are the most versatile tools having a great reach and a very thin stem...They just aren't that rigid. Edit: It's not even the same tool. The first one is a right hand face grooving tool with a curved support under the insert while the second is a straight round insert tool.
This was a perfect machining video, very well done sir. Thank you for posting it.

Very nice job!
first 2 turning ops seemed to take forever
A Very Nice Machine to have in Any Shop.
Definitely beats any Live Tool Lathe.
Amazing..
Awesome part. Could be a little more aggressive with turning. Sandvik capto tooling would compliment this machine well.

lolwtf...using a grooving tool to face at the beginning
obviously I post in haste...now I see why, avoid tool change and move straight to next face grooving/turn op.
