Thanks Michaela, I'm just trying to get started with packet radio. Managed to get Direwolf on my laptop, got the Digirig connected to my old Yaesu 7900. Now looking for the software to make it all work together. Thanks for a great video.

I'm going to add this to my growing list of stuff I want to try, but probably never get around to. Awesome!

I was just checking my FTM400 and it seems that the USB data cable that came with it is also good for data, I'll have to give it a try!

I am working to find the digital mode used by Garmin in thier RINO series of GMRS radios to sent positioning information. I was looking for a 9600 baud modem, and here it is, there is one on my desktop. Thank you.

You would love the Kenwood TH-D74. Built in KISS/TNC via cable or Bluetooth connection. You can install ax25-apps & ax25-tools + dependencies and use as needed.

The price and the battery life have kind of put me off the Kenwood TH-D74 - but I'm sure I would love it if I had one!

@@xssfox well I think it’s a good trade off. Not many radios today that have these features are available. I keep a spare battery and it last me all day. Trust me you would love it.
