Wow that's so greatful you've done your OSCE very well doctor....... Doctor Would you mind sharing any of your social media ! ..because am a medical student too and wanna prepare for PLAB so I hope I can at least get some knowledge from great legends like you ! ...doctor plz never mind ...you know the struggle of a med student right so I hope you'll come up with the positive reply ! 😭 thanks doctor
Thanks so much for your excellent tutorials, I am a nurse who is undertaking a level 9 in advanced practice. The thought of having to undertake an OSCE was so daunting. Your videos have provided clarity and confidence. Many thanks, Neil.
I remember i was in class listening to the lecturer explaining all of this to be completely honest i was really floating not understanding at all he was speaking greek stressed up i came across this video and i can't get enough of it thanks you guys continue with this great job
This is awesome, I have enjoyed and learnt something, yesterday I was taught about how to palpate, percuss and auscultate but didn't understand, thanks. Am am first year student doing nursing, from Zambia
Thank you I’m a nursing student love your videos they are straight to the point and very informative I have my skills assessment tommorow and I’m writing notes as I’m watching this as I am more of a visual learner
A good 'semiology' technique has always been of great importance, even more in the old days before current sophisticated equipping, for a correct diagnosis. Easy to imagine why medical schools in third world countries (low in economical resources) consider it of extreme importance and are very demanding when training students in this field.
Hello I have to have this done soon. I have a blood clot on my lung. So on tablets for this year. Great film to see more info. I'm new to this. I got Ill last week. Many thanks 👍⭐
Thank you Geeky Medics! Your videos are a lot better than Tally videos available on RUclips. I highly recommend watching these videos to osche Australian Medical Student WSU
Really awesome and helpful video, thank you very much. Just a small detail about the method of percussing, should not be only the pleximeter finger touching the patient's body?
Excellent video! We were taught not to palpate the cervical lymph nodes both at the same time..Do one side and then the other to prevent vasovagal reflex...
I'm pretty sure that if you tell the patient that you just gonna observe them at the end of the bed ( for your physical assessment ) isn't a brilliant idea as an examiner because patients in real life is going to be more tense & anxious if you tell them that and it might affect the result of a correct assessment finding especially on the breathing pattern etc....
The technique for using fremitus to assess lungs (voice resonance) originated in Germany, where they used neun und neunzig (99). Why it was chosen, I am not sure. Maybe the word produces a particular sound which makes the assessment easier than using other words?
You want to use a lower pitch sound as that travels through solid matter better. 'Neun und neunzig' (the German) does this well. In English i use 'forty four'. It makes little difference either way.
Just finished my final OSCE in med school, Thanks a lot for being my guide throughout my years as a student
Congratulations Sanada! Thanks so much for the comment, it means a lot 🙂 Best of luck for the future. Kind regards. Lewis (Founder).

Brilliant 💗
It is very good presentation and more helpful for medical students
James is such a patient patient. Possibly a daft question - why "99"?
The technique for using fremitus to assess lungs (voice resonance) originated in Germany, where they used neun und neunzig (99). Why it was chosen, I am not sure. Maybe the word produces a particular sound which makes the assessment easier than using other words?
