I have a great idea for that room. So... hear me out. I would start the tile things where the top of the mirror was, basically to cover the mess of the mirror adhesive. then build a simple but cute shelf that "sits" on top of the pvc tile so you could put little decoration things up there like plants or you could change things for the seasons like fall, christmas stuff. Also on the top of the shelf put LED lights so it gives a nice glow to the room so you can see and dont need to use the main switch lights. Its an idea lol. Best of luck to yall!!!
Love you all and could listen to your ideas all day! TWO IDEAS💡 1) when looking at an uneven wall our eye is drawn the the ceiling and perceived as “level”. I would tile right up to the roof line. Any minor offsets are less visible near the floor boards, especially after decorating.I just hung 14 feet of floating shelves (x4 rows) on a huge feature wall. We hung relative to the roofline and what looked level to the eye. It turned out amazing! 2)Not sure how hard the pvc tiles would be to cut after what the pin nailer did. But could you hang the tiles on a 45 degree orientation (Diamond pattern)? You’ll make it look great no matter what!! Lots of great suggestions in the comments! Good luck 😁❤️
I love their mother, daughter relationship. Their laughter is genuine, and contagious. I LOVE IT! & HERE FOR IT. ❤️ 😍 I stuck around. I always watch your whole videos 📹 How did you all not notice the 2 sides weren't even, when the mirrors were up?
How about you do a 6 inch gap at the top and a 6 inch and the bottom then do the tiles in the middle give the a trim and the paint the gaps like a colour and accessorise the room with them colors to tie it in xx
Hope you do a follow-up soon so that we can see how it turns out. I look forward to every one of your project videos. Glad you didn’t start the project and then realized it was not going to work. I vote for the shiplap solution.
“7 MINUTES?!” Literally had to go check because I was like there’s no way, it has to be more like 3! Low and behold it indeed was 7, but too funny not to watch. Always brings light to my days and my favourite part of the day!!
Heyy, regarding the ceiling level issue, I agree with Jared’s idea, to leave a little bit from the ceiling before starting the tiles on the correct leveling. However, make sure to have the ceiling painted same color as the upper wall part, to avoid having people focus on the line separating them which makes the problem less visible. You may also want to go for a darker color for the ceiling/top wall. I sent you some photos to show idea on instagram dm. Love your videos! Keep them coming.
I definitely stuck around. Anytime I get to see you all is a joy in my life. Thank you and good luck with everything for fall. I saw yesterday it looks like you started the fall decor and so far it looks beautiful. Keep up the good work ❤️
You can also make the little room in that big room into an organization closet with like arts&crafts, office supplies n etc! I remembered a few vids back where Shelly opened a cabinet in her office and everything just started falling on her 😂
It looks fun but isn’t the same design style as the rest of the house. I think the horizontal shiplap is a cohesive design style for this house. Also it’ll be easier to cover the circular window. Also the laser lever needs to be straight next time. For something different paint the shiplap .
About the difference ceiling, you needs an optical illusion, 2” depth level shelf, 6” down top and paint wall and ceiling same color. The shelf can have have stuff on it, you would see difference. Also use chalk string with leveler sitting on it. Snap lines, making a grid.
I laughed so much at the beginning. How frustrating when Shelley really wanted those on the wall. They are so pretty. Now I want to see the next video.
It'd still be kind of noticeable at the top, but if you really wanted to do the tiles still, you may be able to out them up as diamonds instead and put them on their corners. I like a vertical pattern idea too
I think you should do the shiplap at the top and then the panels just below it. Follow the line of the mirrors. So start the panels just above where the top of the mirror line was and go all the way down and then do the shiplap at that one foot spacing at the top to the ceiling.
Jared's idea would work! If you look at the line from the mirrors and the painted area above it....you don't notice that's its not level up there. Just use nice small trim on top of the squares to finish it off. All the time you were talking about it, I kept looking at the line at the top from the mirrors...lol Did you notice when the mirrors were up, that it wasn't level up there? I love the squares, it would be awesome on that wall. It will work!
Hi Kylie, Shellie, Jared and Cody. I too was disappointed, but I think it shiplap painted will Look Great too. You two crack me up. Look watching y'all.
just a thought - what about putting a shelf where the top of the mirrors used to be and have shiplap underneath then have like LED's or something on the shelves to create like 'mood lighting' and then put those cool shaped board thingys along the wall to the left of the window if it is level
Aww I'm sorry it didnt go your way! Kylie, I know you will figure something out! But I enjoyed watching the video!! Keep recording even if you think it might be boring because we love watching you
Make the tiles level but at the top do the wood strip that hides the of strip lights like you did in Jacob's bedroom. That will give you the flexibility of changing the wall color and shift the focus to the wall and not the ceiling. Love listening to y'all!
Best intro ever !! I love it when you two get on a roll lol What about just do half the wall and add a fun paint color to the top and a chair rail or boarder to tie it all in? I think the shiplap would look great also
Love that you guys have massive fun times with these videos. I especially love the 7 minute explanation. Please include these when your explaining your room videos. Can’t wait for the next one. Thanks Kylie and Shelly.
I suggest you put a bulkhead with a coving, maybe 1 foot drop from the ceiling but with 10cm offset from the surface of the wall and should be painted with white. The Bulkhead will give more emphasis on the decorative patterns. It will also serve as border and it also allows you to add cove lights or indirect lighting again one way to highlight the patterns. The drop of the bulkhead from the ceiling should not be less than 1 foot because less than that, the 2 inches difference will be more obvious.
I vote just do it level... you will have a 2" gap on one side. Then install crown. Yes, you will still be able to tell it's slightly crooked, because the tiles on one side will be more covered by crown than the tiles on the other side, but the overall pattern is so dimensional and distracting that honestly it will look fine! in my opinion! I don't like jared's idea lol, I think crown will look pretty decent.
I think a a chalkboard or whiteboard wall would be kind of fun in there for the kids! (Especially since they enjoyed writing on the wall so much) it’s also be good for just planning and things like that. (Idk if you already finished this projected because I’m catching up on old videos! We shall see)
I watched the whole way through. You and your Mom together are the best. So funny! I know this problem with the wall was frustrating. I kept thinking why not follow the line that was where the top of the mirror was glued on. Not sure if that would work, but just a thought.
Hello Kylie and Shelly, Just a suggestion but couldn't you do a half wall on bottom of the slate board, having a pice of molding in the middle to separate it and then use that cool circle design on the top of the wall. I think that would help offset your issue. Probably not what you want to do and I'm not by any means a contractor or interior designer but I thought about this after watching and I don't know I think it might help. 😁 Can't wait to see this room when your finished! Sounds amazing either way!
I painted a checkerboard style in my room with 5 different colors. The wall was also not level, but i made my level lines with the ceiling, and the bottom row was left as uneven so it was hidden. I don't know how that would translate for videos linage wise, but maybe an idea? Or can you use the line the mirrors were on? I never noticed a big difference with the too border on them. I have no interior design background, just trying to make Shelly's circles work!
I love y’all’s banter I think a mother daughter channel would be awesome Showing your banter, but also giving mother/ daughter relationship advice It would be cool to have something to watch with my daughter 9 and 12 Something inspirational, things y’all have been through ups and downs etc. I’m a long time subscriber of crazy middles and pieces I love watching the whole family God Bless Your Family
We used tiles like that in our home. We bought the Styrofoam ones though so we could trim them. Also we put them on our ceiling. Maybe put them on the ceiling in there.
Yes to whole room ship lap or at least original wall ship lap! Great video, I was entertained and enjoyed watching y'all trying to figure it out. Time went by quickly. Was actually feeling disappointed for the women's bubble bursting. Can't wait to see what you end up with on the walls. God bless ✝️. 😊
what do you think of vertical ship lap as the boarder at top then add your tiles that you bought. perhaps the ship lap will help take your eye away from the difference.
I could sit here and listen to y’all talk hahah I love watching your videos!! I say vertical shiplap on the crooked wall and the squares on the other wall you didn’t have a plan for just yet :) then you have 2 different backgrounds to use whenever it may look funky in person but perfect on videos !
HILARIOUS! You two crack me up! Jared great job! Cody you're so handsome, great job backing up Dad! Love the tiles, Kylie YOU ARE creative think outside the square....🤔😊
Kylie I had an idea. Maybe you all will like it. What if you start at the top and bring the shiplap down to middle way where your imaginary line will be and the rest of the tile can go under the shiplap? It might solve your problems I don't know. My name is Julie from Indiana. I hope this does help you ❤️ I know nothing about DIY it was just an idea. Good luck with your project. ❤️
Why not just have it come down from the top and let the uneven row be at the bottom of the wall? Or would the horizontal lines be too noticeable? If so, I vote the vertical shiplap!
Hello!! I could listen to you all day ! You are such a blessing you make my day so much better and make me feel like I can do anything . We have adopted 3 children at birth that have had very hard beginnings even before birth so it has been hard but when I watch you all you make me feel like I got this !! Thank you!!!
Could tell from the first seconds of the video that you had taken down the mirrors in the 3 younger boys' room. Interesting change in how you are using the room. Look foward to seeing the solution. Outstanding question: what about the younger boys' room - wherever it is in the house.
It is too bad that the ceiling is uneven and hope you think of a plan to use them since those tiles are so interesting. I saw something like that in a hotel a few years ago and was intrigued with them and tried to think of where I could use them. However I hope you realize that you can see through the tiles and see the black spots on the walls. If you used them you either need to remove what is on the walls or paint over it. Also I think that you can spray paint over the tiles since I think I saw it in a color. Just check with the experts or contact the company. I think you ought to make your round window like on on ship window and a round cover with hinges, etc. that open and close and make that wall like a ship wall maybe with shiplap.
Sorry that did not go quite as planned. Hopefully you can figure out a cute pattern that will make all of you happy and maybe find a pretty color that can accent that wall. Peaceful wishes!
I stayed past the 7 minute mark. I had to pause it though to add my comment because I was laughing and didn't want to forget what I was going to say lol. Ok, just finished watching the rest of it. Can you put up like those balloon curtains across the top of the room like we had in the mid 90s? Everything else is coming back again like slap bracelets and gigapets so why not balloon curtains? Or even movie theater type curtains at the top and on the sides? Kylie is good at making things work and disguising little imperfections I'm sure. Plus she is good at decorating so it wouldn't be noticeable when she is done, everyone will be looking at all the decorations and how it all pulls together. Only other suggestion is a false ceiling on that side of the room so the rest of the wall is level 🤷♀
You guy's crack me up. I waited the whole video and no project started lol. Can't wait until you do this project. Keep laughing and having fun ladies. Love you all
Hi kylie, I hear you, but I'm 14 and you such an inspiration. I literally want to study interior design, but hear me out, why don't you do a plain bored that runs across, and that will give you an even line across from the bottom, on top you could add that green vine that will bring life and it will feel fresh. Just an opinion from my side, you could add gold and black/dark wood décor pieces. Enjoy, I hope my idea helped🥰❤
I honestly thought that was wallpaper at the beginning and I was trying to figure out what kind of a room you were trying to create. I was like “Are they making a rage room for their home?!”. 😂😂😂
Hi I have stuck around and will do till the head love all the family channels especially crazy middles wish there would post more fab family brilliant parents I've been watching since you started keep it up x💓💞😀😂
What if you put in a big/normal sized window and another one to make it symmetrical then put in room darkening curtains and blinds? Then there'll also be an emergency exit via Windows from the room as well.
Best non productive video ever. I'll watch any day. Yes to the vertical shiplap !🏠
I always stick around for the mama/daughter duo videos! It’s always entertaining. ❤️

Awesome idea!
Hello Ladies .... What on earth - You guys can talk for 30 minutes and we will stick around and listen .... Y'all are CRAZY!!!!
Agree
Heck yeah! Enjoy you ladies both!
No
Yes, too much talking no action.. lol
I TOTALLY AGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WITH YOU.
Love you all and could listen to your ideas all day!

We love having a “family office”. Desk along the walls and big table in the middle. Works great for projects, crafts, homework, etc…
You can also make the little room in that big room into an organization closet with like arts&crafts, office supplies n etc! I remembered a few vids back where Shelly opened a cabinet in her office and everything just started falling on her 😂
Kylie, I could listen to you read the phone book! You always make me feel better if I’ve had a challenging day! I love your light and laugh❤️
It looks fun but isn’t the same design style as the rest of the house. I think the horizontal shiplap is a cohesive design style for this house. Also it’ll be easier to cover the circular window. Also the laser lever needs to be straight next time. For something different paint the shiplap .
Go with the shipman and use the tiles in your TV room.
Always love when you and shelly get together, l could watch for hours and not get bored🥰you two are fun, can't wait to see room once it's done 🥰

That 7 minutes went by so fast just hearing yall laugh brightens my day and puts a smile on my face!!
I absolutely loved this video! This is exactly how my projects always go. The vision is ruined and brain storming at its finest
Will always stick around for 7 mins of y’all’s banter haha reminds me of my mom and I !
You two make me laugh!😂😂😂What if you found some type of wallpaper, bring down to a certain point and then start the design boards? 🤞🏻

I will always stick around if it’s 30 minutes because you are all amazing, crazy pieces, crazy middles and rehead homestead are fabulous
how can I not stick around for 7 mins, You girls make me laugh ... I'm sure it will only get better :)

I'm with Kiley on the vertical shiplap. On the entire wall.
Use the tiles somewhere else
Vertical Ship lap would look Fabulous. You could paint it whatever color you wanted.
Best intro ever !! I love it when you two get on a roll lol What about just do half the wall and add a fun paint color to the top and a chair rail or boarder to tie it all in? I think the shiplap would look great also

Loving the vlog and stick around until the end.And it was lovely watching everyone have a opinion.so looking forward to the next one 🙂
Wallpaper!! So many cute ones to choose from

Stuck around but love watching you guys. Can't wait to see the finished room.
I just love every little thing about Kylie!! I can't help but giggle!❤
I wonder if you could turn the panels like a diamond ♦️, if that would make up for the difference at the top.. 🤔
I thought about that as well
I think a a chalkboard or whiteboard wall would be kind of fun in there for the kids! (Especially since they enjoyed writing on the wall so much) it’s also be good for just planning and things like that. (Idk if you already finished this projected because I’m catching up on old videos! We shall see)
I loved the mirror room. I actually liked them there.
I Love watching you & your mom together!! Could you do the tiles with the 6 inch gap then fill in the 6 inch gap with vertical shiplap?
I watched the whole way through. You and your Mom together are the best. So funny! I know this problem with the wall was frustrating. I kept thinking why not follow the line that was where the top of the mirror was glued on. Not sure if that would work, but just a thought.
I stuck around I like to see how u will solve the problem... it's always fun to see u
I can sit and listen to you all talk all day!!

Dark tint on that cute little window won’t help. On inside and outside to block the sun??? It’s so cute
Loctite !! That was my best job I ever had working for them.
I painted a checkerboard style in my room with 5 different colors. The wall was also not level, but i made my level lines with the ceiling, and the bottom row was left as uneven so it was hidden. LOL when you first started the video, I thought you had already decorated for Halloween. I thought it was spider, bats and webs. 🤣🤣🤣
I love y’all’s banter
I think a mother daughter channel would be awesome
Showing your banter, but also giving mother/ daughter relationship advice
It would be cool to have something to watch with my daughter 9 and 12
Something inspirational, things y’all have been through ups and downs etc.
I’m a long time subscriber of crazy middles and pieces
I love watching the whole family
God Bless Your Family
We used tiles like that in our home. We bought the Styrofoam ones though so we could trim them. Also we put them on our ceiling. Maybe put them on the ceiling in there.
Seven minutes fly by watching you two with all your laughter!🤣😀
Yes to whole room ship lap or at least original wall ship lap! Great video, I was entertained and enjoyed watching y'all trying to figure it out. Time went by quickly. Was actually feeling disappointed for the women's bubble bursting. Can't wait to see what you end up with on the walls. God bless ✝️. 😊
I'll always stick around. Love the crazy middles & crazy pieces ❤️
I totally agree vertical shiplap!!!
You guys remind me of my mom and I and I love it! I would listen forever!
It didn't seem like 7 minutes. You two are a riot.
what do you think of vertical ship lap as the boarder at top then add your tiles that you bought. perhaps the ship lap will help take your eye away from the difference.

HILARIOUS! You two crack me up! Jared great job! Cody you're so handsome, great job backing up Dad! Love the tiles, Kylie YOU ARE creative think outside the square....🤔😊
a floating shelf with deco items on it. Level shelf but items would hide the error.
I loved the mirrors in that room
Bottom half wall with the design with a trim separating the top and bottom maybe like a beadboard half wall
I’m so excited the horrid mirrors have been laid to rest
I love watching you two together
Kylie I had an idea. Maybe you all will like it. What if you start at the top and bring the shiplap down to middle way where your imaginary line will be and the rest of the tile can go under the shiplap? It might solve your problems I don't know. My name is Julie from Indiana. I hope this does help you ❤️ I know nothing about DIY it was just an idea. Good luck with your project. ❤️
put the tiles up, then a shelf across the top and put some ivy plants on it
Why not just have it come down from the top and let the uneven row be at the bottom of the wall? Or would the horizontal lines be too noticeable? If so, I vote the vertical shiplap!
Hello!! I could listen to you all day ! You are such a blessing you make my day so much better and make me feel like I can do anything . We have adopted 3 children at birth that have had very hard beginnings even before birth so it has been hard but when I watch you all you make me feel like I got this !! Thank you!!!
What about putting a shelf right up there and level out the tiles underneath
You could put some plants up there
it would look really nice
Could tell from the first seconds of the video that you had taken down the mirrors in the 3 younger boys' room. Interesting change in how you are using the room. Look foward to seeing the solution.
Outstanding question: what about the younger boys' room - wherever it is in the house.
Maybe the one Cynthia and Lizzie shared?
I'm thinking you are right I also think that the 3 little boys are in Cynthia and Lizzie's old room
I think you ought to make your round window like on on ship window and
a round cover with hinges, etc. that open and close and make that wall like a ship wall maybe with shiplap.
Snap a chalk line lower by about an inch and paint the ceiling down to the chalk line a contrasting color.
Sorry that did not go quite as planned. Hopefully you can figure out a cute pattern that will make all of you happy and maybe find a pretty color that can accent that wall. Peaceful wishes!
I love the Bob is the best. No bias or anything there
I like how you show the hole prozess with all problems and not hiding anything like everything where fine.
I know it’s only the first of September, but I’m getting so excited for your Christmas decor videos!!
You guy's crack me up. I waited the whole video and no project started lol. Can't wait until you do this project. Keep laughing and having fun ladies. Love you all
Of course we have stuck around lol we love watching yall
I stuck around to the end. Love you guys
2 in. Boarder will look fine. Great video.
Hi kylie, I hear you, but I'm 14 and you such an inspiration. i was hoping one of yall would suggest starting from the top and its easier to hide the bottom uneveness
that wall could be a giant white board wall so you can write stuff or pictures of all your children and your grandchildren.
Puts up hand. Yes i stuck around through the entire vlog. Hugs n love from mother of angels.
I honestly thought that was wallpaper at the beginning and I was trying to figure out what kind of a room you were trying to create. I was like “Are they making a rage room for their home?!”. 😂😂😂
Absolutely stuck around 😄
It's like watching stand up comedy 🤣 love it
Hi I have stuck around and will do till the head love all the family channels especially crazy middles wish there would post more fab family brilliant parents I've been watching since you started keep it up x💓💞😀😂
What if you put in a big/normal sized window and another one to make it symmetrical then put in room darkening curtains and blinds? Then there'll also be an emergency exit via Windows from the room as well.
Ya'll are so full of personality and I love your laugh.
