Please calculate using formula for chord length and arc length.
Let, s= arc length = 18.2km
Subtended angle = (¢)
arc length (s) = ¢R
R = radius of Earth=6371km
Therefore ¢= 18.2/6371 = 0.0028566944 radian
Chord length (c) = 2R sin (¢/2)
sin(¢/2) = 0.00142834671
c= 2*6371*0.00142834671 = 18.19999381147
Hence difference= 18.2-18.19999381147 = 0.00000618853 km
= 6.18853 mm
